Stephen King's THE STAND: CAPTAIN TRIPS Debuts On September 10!

World Fantasy Award-winning writer Stephen King, and Marvel Comics join forces once again to launch a new ground-breaking comic book series adapted from King's apocalyptical novel, THE STAND! Acclaimed writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (SECRET INVASION: FANTASTIC FOUR, ANGEL: REVELATIONS) brings the first of several limited series to life this September in THE STAND: CAPTAIN TRIPS #1 (of 5)! THE STAND, which is commonly deemed as King's most popular novel, is a story of Biblical proportions; after a government-made virus mows down majority of the human race, the few survivors must band together in order to survive. With visually stunning interiors from Eisner-nominated artist, Mike Perkins (CAPTAIN AMERICA, HOUSE OF M: AAVENGERS), the human race is going make their last stand! Plus, a mind blowing, sketch variant from acclaimed artist Lee Bermejo and the first of five connecting variant covers from Perkins!

To celebrate the release, THE STAND: CAPTAIN TRIPS #1 (of 5) goes on sale at 12:01 am, September 10, at participating comic stores around the nation.

Everyone agrees Walking Dead should be an HBO TV series
The Boys would make a good movie, if they tone down the dick sucking.

On another note
That Exiles was fuckin awsome finished 1-95.

Can someone please recommend, a good run... Exiles 1-95 was great story telling. I was amazed how dark it sometime became.

Is it just me, or is anyone else just a lil' tired of the Secret Invasion stuff already? I mean, it just doesn't seem to be going anywhere interesting, and part of me is thinking that the whole thing was just a back up plan to cover up any ret-conning of stuff that happened during the Civil War that was proving too unpopular with the fans.

Anyway much thanks to all uploaders, as per usual doing one hell of a job.

Yes and No.
The main storyline seem thrown together. The parts that could have been really interesting (Savage Land Ship full of 80's era Heros) have been a let down/cop out.

But Secret Invasion: Inhumans and a few others are well written and should end well.

I liked the build up to the final fight though. Fury, Thor, Iron Man and "Captain America".

I do have one question. Where did Reed Richards come from? Did I miss an issue? How did he end Up on that ship?

Marvel could/should have done this like the did Infinity Gauntlet. There are too many different stories to follow. It should have been on central story told through 6-8 issues.
I don't think we needed to see every different teams view point.

It took every Marvel hero to kill one super skrull when it was the one pretending to be Black Bolt but now they can get merked pretty easily. It doesn't make any sense. Where is Xavier, hulk and sentry in all this? It makes sense for him to be a skrull since he's walking and all.
