I'm glad to see Static and the boys of the Dakota universe gettin a second chance and their due; :hmm: :hmm: however :hmm: - I hope McDuffie's been shrewed in the inkin' of this deal because he has to know that this could mean that they(Milestones characters that show up) could be come the property of DC comics

Takeru is an average Japanese high-school girl raised in a Buddhist convent by nuns.
She has been experiencing recurring nightmares about the Witchblade calling out to her.
This is due to the secret that the temple houses the Witchblade, sealed inside a glass box.
Furthermore, her lineage keeps an unknown connection with the mystic artifact and the folklore of the Oni,
hence explaining Takeru's strong attraction to the gauntlet which is locally called Oni-no-Te (鬼の手, "Hand of Oni").
Ultimately, Takeru's life suffers a drastic change when she becomes the next bearer of the Witchblade
due to some circumstances that force her to randomly encounter it.

I've to admit, I've been loving "SPIDER-GIRL" these few years.

Shit has an old fashion 70s storytelling style to it. And Ron Frenz/Sal Buscema on the art makes me go way back. They stay away from the realism style that permeates books these days. I dig its cartoony, throwback style.

So in this case, clinging to the past can be a good thing.

Why is it when they tell the backstory of Spiderman they always start with him after he's with Ben and May? Who were his parents? How did Peter come to stay with his Aunt & Uncle? Did Marvel ever let us in on who Peter Parker was BEFORE his parents died? Never read or saw anything about his earlier years

I agree on all points.

The X-Men are kind of back to basics.
Jean's character has always been underdeveloped and stale. Even as Phoenix.

Emma is what Jean should have become years ago plus she is just sexy, no matter who draws her.
But I still don't trust her though. :smh:

She had mentioned that she was on an extended visit because she was going crazy just sitting around being the queen of Wakanda. They mention it in passing in Black Panther, but I think she's around enough to keep her supporting role status in that book also.

On another note, I'm glad they're bringing back X-Men from the past. Nice to see Karma again. Anybody remember when the Shadow King took over Karma's body and blew her up to like 400 lbs? And now they make her a lesbian...
