I was thinking along these same lines.
Palin's negatives can never get as high as Hillary's.
She evokes no east, west, urban, rural or washington contempt.
She is younger, better looking and a part of a contemporary functional family with conservative values and a son that is serving in Iraq.
Hillary will have her hands full in 4 years whether or not Palin gets in the white house in 08.

This is an absolute FAIL. The McCain campaign chose to sacrifice it's only relevant argument against Obama, experience, in an attempt to woo those sensitive ass, racist, die hard, if i can vote for my bitch I'll vote for the pro-life mummy Hillary supporters with THIS BITCH? C'mon... I know there are some of those estrogen bags who don't 'agree' with a man like Obama being president that will certainly be excited now (as evidenced in the AOL News comments section), but once the real deal about this bitch surfaces to the masses she's gonna do more harm than good. What fucks me up is how blatant this pick was... the sole reason her stuttering ass is on the ticket is because she has ovaries!

How are you gonna say Obama has no experience to lead the country and then turn around and select a 44 year old soccer mom from Alaska of all places. I think she was the mayor of a town of 8,200 people before becoming governor in 2006. McCain is about 72 with health issues. Do you really want this chick 1 heartbeat away from the highest office?

You know what, I didn't think that there was no possible way that he could win (thank God), especially after the DNC and those speeches, but know, McCain made a great move! He will gain a lot of Hillary supporters, and a lot of moderates and he has sured up his conservative base. He also took a lot of wind out of Obama's sails with this pick, so dare I say it... He might have a chance (God help us) to win.

Although I think this has no effect on Sarah Palin's ability to lead or serve as V.P., we often know that Concern Trolls and the media latch on to things that change the "narrative" of the race. So here's one for them:
While looking at Palin's Wikipedia page this morning after the announcement, I was interested in this particular sentence:
She admits that she used marijuana when it was legal in Alaska, but says that she did not like it.
Which leads to my question: How much pot did this woman smoke before deciding she didn't like it?

Palin doesn't support legalizing marijuana, worrying about the message it would send to her four kids. But when it comes to cracking down on drugs, she says methamphetamines are the greater threat and should have a higher priority.
Palin said she has smoked marijuana -- remember, it was legal under state law, she said, even if illegal under U.S. law -- but says she didn't like it and doesn't smoke it now.
"I can't claim a Bill Clinton and say that I never inhaled."
I love it how she deflected the question by trying a sideways slam at Bill Clinton. When in fact she has admitted breaking federal law (while not breaking state law).
So my question is this: Really? How many times did you have to try it before you decided you didn't like it?
