Question for the Real Estate experts

I am looking into buying a home in So Cal within the next 5-16 months. I have been told that fannie Mae is a good option for first time buyers. My question is how do i find a listing of Fannie Mae lenders in my area and secondly, how do you feel about Fannie Mae. i would like relevant responses from people who are knowledgeable in this area. thanks alot

Have you hit up the Fannie Mae site yet?

You can also contact your local real estate investment club (REIC) and direct you questions toward them.

Research as much as possible on your own 1st
Email them 2nd
Call them 3rd (sounding knowledgeable with you researched info)
Do'nt stop 4th, good luck.......

Try IndyMac also. They are the bank with most of their loans in Ca that caused them to fail and eventually taken over by the government.
