BET should have one day just one day dedicated to the old school and see how much of a response they get. I bet they will be surprised to see people flock to something different and bottom line GOOD.

I was talking to another person about how all the R&B groups(male and female) have disappeared. There was time when there were 4 or 5 groups fighting for the top slot and now there's nothing. Pretty Ricky:smh: I can't even think of another group right now.

The dumbing down of rap has also infiltrated R&B music. Most of the CDs that I bumped the hardest the last couple of years either got no radio airplay or very little.

This big dude right here was without a doubt the king of R&B in the 80's ...

REAL TALK

Thats how I learned the days of the wk

The best R&B in my opinion was in the Mid 60's to 70's When you had to play a instrument to be called a band member, and then started going down hill in the late 90's.

Ne-Yo
Chris Brown
Llyod
Raheem Devaugh (misspelled)
Jamie Foxx (decent)

Can't think of many right now but them right there are solid...(maybe just for the young generation)

Apart from r kelly and jeith sweat They all fags now... Especially Johnny gill Sad shit :smh:

I love Stevie but more as a songwriter than a pure R and B singer. Vocally no one could touch Theodore Pendergrass. not saying he had the best songs but vocally he had no equals. and in terms of bitches throwing their panties on the stage...no competition.

What I have never understood about the music game is cats like Stokley from Mint Condition that cat is the ultimate live performer. I remember back in the day Mint condition performed @ the "Taste of DC " and they ripped it... The business is so fickle that they will bump this cookie cutter shit and scrap the good live performers. The game has changed; we have a handfull of good R&B singers and groups about five each.

- you dudes i swear...what has johnny gill done to imply that he is a gay man? shit kills me man...during the 90's nobody was calling this dude gay, now all of a sudden every nigga trying to sing has to have a gun on his waist or a bullet proof vest on and if he doesn't he is gay...
