Cramer will give you a better feed back on Fannie and Freddie. Personally I would not touch them.

Personally I would have sold Visa in the 70s till after because I believe if this shit gets worse people going to run up their cards and not pay them off. Wait for 7 years for them to fall off credit.

Interesting perspective and many have expressed this concern. However, we know that, unlike American Express, Visa is a transaction oriented business. They provide the transaction mechanism and get paid on the spot. The consumer then owes money to the bank that issued the card, not to Visa. Thus, as I see it, the banks will be the ones to suffer if consumers start to default in large numbers. In fact, I am of the opinion that Visa may not do too badly as people short of cash tend to rely on credit cards even more. As long as there is a transaction, Visa gets their money.

But I do understand your point. A financial collapse is still bad for everyone in the long run if it lasts too long.

Had to step aside & let things settle...need to do that sometimes..

"Oil Comeback",,well oil is just treading a trading range, it's pulled back, as have commodities..but has the demand picture changed?? I'm staying long Ags/commodities as they recover back off the pullbacks. Financials are being ran thru trading houses as the volume exists there for them to make the money, but there is no underlying base to support them...as for visa/mc..pull up a chart & you'll notice they began trending w/ financials..can't say that is a positive. 2009/2010, this financial dibacle will subside, until then they'll print shares..i'll stick w/ companies making money.........btw nice pick up on CALM..we'll see how this all plays out

How's everyone doing?? It's been rough out there, but there's been some calm of late, hope the board has not lost it's tolerance & are ready for another round in due time...nice bounce on silver & other metals off bottoms, suspect te gold will pick up as well...election plays are going to be tricky as the gauge is not defining any clear cut winner..we'll see,,,hope allz well....remeber you havent lost until you give up & offload...time is on your side as much as it is cliche...its true...

Got my ass tapped (pause) on a couple options that were supposed guaranteed winners. The lesson I got from it was to track my calls/puts a little closer, and sell the minute that green spike tapers off. Every single option I had was in the green by a substantial amount, but I missed out waiting on a jackpot.

On the bright side, I hope no one bailed out on COIN just yet...sumbitch jumped like shit today. It may just be due to the overall market, but I'm curious to see what happens in the next couple days...

Im still holding COIN. HK as well but now that Gustave turned into a bad storm and the CEOof HK sold lots of shares im like:confused:. Even if it was only less than 5% of his total shares people are gonna panic sell...

I feel ya pain fam. I gotta be down 2g's myself. Ah well I'll hold till Xmas and if still down sell and file that loss. Then get right back in the game with more info & knowledge than I ever had trading because of this thread. Damn that COIN is a mutha!

Anyone familiar with suboxone? Its a drug used to treat drug addicticts addicted to herion & opiates. But not long term its said to work in 30 days and cab be filled by most pharmacies with a doctors prescription. Started by some company in Europe called Reckitts but I read the patent is up in 2009. Maybe worth looking into.

Peoples whats good??? I went to sleep last night premium gas was 3.58 this morning its 3.98! Im not even mad. AG's on the move. COIN being the monster it is. What up Popo, North!

Good point on Visa. That helped me to see the fact that after they have run up the credit cards they will move to the Visa Debit cards and that will still be money in the bank for Visa

good look on coin, i was gonna buy at 1.75, dont know why i didnt:(

Yeah that COIN is a summammabitch ain't it? I wished I would have averaged a bit more down myself, but I'm not trippin because after months of being red I'm seeing a good potential return on this one. Shit got my whole portfolio looking decent now lol. What I did to pass time (and keep from sellin that shit at a loss) was kick back and learn a little bit about the options game. Options are very volatile, but risking a few hundred here and there can possibly double your investment in a matter of days! So while I won and lost some in options, it kept my mind off of that losing COIN, and now things are looking alright. Drought? What drought?

When COIN was dropped here, i told everyone it was high risk, high reward & those w/ the fortitude to enter into it (COINW/COINZ) as well, could be well rewarded....now my stance has shifted.....i see COIN as LOWERED RISK & Higher REWARD, they are moving their business along & are getting gov't to buyin to the green & the good of their business....I'm long,,,have been long & will be long...I like the fact that the Underwriter on COIN's IPO is the same company that did two other modest low O/S IPO's...those two companies were TASR & CALM....TASR was one of those stocks that made investors boatloads of money...CALM has doen well itself..I'm not going to say where COIN's price will be, but if you look at most fertilizer companies, that are turning a profit they trade at nice EPS's...COIN has such a low O/S that it is aperfect storm if & when it runs....

We'll see where it goes but for now i sit tight on my COIN & COINW positions.....

btw the DEATH of LEH is upon us....pegged it on the ball after BSC fell....sucker just took a long while to tank down (let's just say plenty of millionares got made this year, those w. the capital to short the financials....)

hang in there....

I recall a poster dropping a penny stock here SKNY.ob that had a great run,,,another shaping up for a seeming run is HKBV.pk

at .003c/share it maybe worth a lil small play...

The comparison is warranted due to several things they had in common, 1. same underwriter 2. low initial share structure 3. adoptation of product

right now all COIN has to do is keep up the trend, & keep building revenues, they are no longer development stage they are revenue generating,,,give it time,,,

So the Crooks at LEH finally threw in the town & filed for bankrupcy,,,lol,,,,& BoA snatches up MER,,,more will fall...early stages.,,,

let's see,,,who's in the graveyard... BSC, LEH, Indy Mac, Freddie, Fannie, who's nest??

What a Monday. Oil under $100 and LEH under .20cent. AIG...? China and India growing like a mutha though.

What nothing about the major moves in the market this week? hehe I know ive been low key but the new job, then shift to 2nd shift then shif to work from home has/had me tied down quite a bit. ayway isnt it times like this where major investments can be made? are they in AIG or even LEH? whats the word on it people I know I wanna know?

North! Peace. Laying low may have done you well. But yes fortunes are made during recessions. Im sure those in the know know made good on AIG this am when it opened from about $1.45 and ran up over $3. They might get that help they need but if they do could still end up at the .99 store. Fed gonna speak soon about something to do something about whatever. Fuckem! I wanna just dump all real estate and funds and just go straight cash, metals & individual stocks...

AIG = A technical Day traders dream $$$

Over 1 billion shares traded today.

AIG getting LACED in after hours -45%, 2.00 stock...
WOW is a word..damn is another..never seen something like that.

AIG needs a handout right now, they have plenty of interest at hand as so many do business w/ them....

What a calamity greed has caused on the street...on a bright note
MONsanto upped targets...AGs look very good...

I'm staying out of any financials, would only short if i had to get intot hem...
