That Memphis episode everyone tlkn bout is crazy.That was the family of my old High School principal.Everybody in memphis was shook cuz the police where going nuts if u had the wrong color on they would stop and harrass u.That dude showed no mercy.I dont see how a man can do anything like that.I was scared to go outside.
Brother you got to understand the show is made for commercial TV - not PBS, so they need juicy cases. So they shoot in low-income high-crime locations.

When they 1st brought the brother in for quetioning(B4 he was even a suspect), i had a sense that he did it.
Yeah I understand all of that, however that being the case does not minimize the impression the show leaves on unsuspecting viewers. Bullshit also that when cats lawyer up there is no case hence no show. Detectives still have to find witnesses and prove a case, not everyone confesses. There is plenty to see regardless of whether or not a mofo has a lawyer, check the site and see for yourself, i've been watching this show for 3 years and my impression of it has changed over time.

Same here. It's basically a real life Law & Order. The episode that fucked me up the most was the ep where dude waited like 6yrs(?) to get revenge on some nigga that killed his little brother. My man stood outside side of the convenient-store with a mask on on and set off and the cat when he stepped out of that shyt. I honestly wanted that kid to get away with it, wasn't no senseless shit, I would've probably done the same thing if I was in his shoes.
But you could see the vic in the store, I think he knew it was for him. He started yelling "I got my pistol on me, make sure you got yours" to some cat leaving the store while the door was open to get the attention of ole boy standing outside I guess. He was pet too, kept looking out the store window every few seconds because walking out.
I was laughing when some dude getting interrogated said there was a dude outside the store widda mask. "Yeah, dude in the mask! ... Yeah something about that dude in the mask, man" - like WTF do you mean? WTF dis nigga think he was wearing the mask for?

Not that I don't like the show, I've been intrigued by it for sometime to the extent where i've visited the website... I used to Tivo the show. My opinion has changed somewhat for the reason I illustrated, no beef no arguing. 95% of the cases on that show are black on black crimes and it's very very sad, as well as being untrue. I still watch it, it's like driving past a horrible car accident- you're gonna look.

The other one that got me was the one the two brothers were going to sell a gun then got robbed then the original dude that was selling the gun got shot.
The thing was they thought the brother that robbed him was the one that shot him. Turned out it was his friend who shot him trying to get away. He was shooting over his shoulder running away thinking he was on some Bond type shit and killed his friend.
And again, the brother that got killed had his wife to be having his baby. Her and his son another statistic.

the episode that freaked me out was a murder in dallas...where this 20something mexican chick got killed in an apartment...it looked as if she was just at the wrong place durring a robbery...it could happen to anyone

visit miami (expecially anywhere near the pork and beans projects)
buy anything off craig's list (too many people getting robbed and killed)
visit southdallas (aside from going to the fair)
talk to the police without my laywer present

There is a difference btw comitting any other crime and Homicide. it might be easy getting away with any other crime but not homicide,
the ODDS are always against you, and It's the Detective work to piece the shit together, with or without your co-operation. They'll build a case against you and duke it out with your lawyer in court and let the Jury decide your fate. Public defenders are weak just for the simple fact that they are not been paid well from defending you. So you are DOOMED from the moment you commit a homicide unless you have alot $$$$$ to get a good lawyer..

It's hard to watch sometimes, because you see so many brothas die and go to jail. It is a good show though. Alot of the episodes are in Miami. I didn't know it went down in Miami like that, but I guess there are hoods everywhere.
