How is it so far? Compared to skyfire?

How is it so far? Compared to skyfire?

I like it ...It is now my default browser. I only use skyfire when I want to view flash videos. However this new opera browser supports flash but you have to do alot to get it working and I have yet to get to that point.

Pocket Informant v8.1 Build 1250 Final (15/07/08)

Pocket Informant is The Next Generation in Personal Daily Management, but we don't just say that; we mean it. Pocket Informant 8 doesn't just simply let you work with your daily events through lists and grids, but with the new Events and Journal views you can look at your life's past and future in an easy cohesive environment. Even create contact links within your appointment or tasks' subject and notes let you quickly access a named contact without having to resort to links or a search. Most suprisingly, this power doesn't come at the cost of a complicated, cluttered interface.

Pocket Informant 8 brings a new level of ease of use to your mobile device. Version 8 introduces a new Roles based user-interface that lets you scale the user-interface and feature to your needs offering you just the power you want. A fully one handed interface lets you use Pocket Informant without ever touching the stylus - or if you prefer finger control Pocket Informant brings finger touch scrolling, a touch ABC bar in Contacts, and new finger friendly time pickers.

These are just a taste of the new features that Pocket Informant 8 provides that separates it from any other PIM on the market. This just builds on top of the already easy and powerful features that have made Pocket Informant the winner of the best business application and PIM for this and previous years at Smartphone and Pocket PC Magazine. I need that tomtom with US map... everytime I find one some of the files are missing. I have a free program called amazegps but it drops the satellites too much

the issue with that ( diamond ) keyboard is that you lose the predictive typing permanatly - ex) when typing text messages it wont auto complete the name and number unless you go to add recipient, or if you are typing something using the keyboad on the device not on the screen..:smh:

wrong...look at the picture...see that t9/abc button...you do not lose it permanently you just start from scratch

Is Opera 9.5 still on the 1st beta?
here are known issues in the 1st beta.
Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta 1: Known Issues
These are some known issues with the beta.

*Only touchscreen devices are supported for now. Support for non-touchscreen devices is planned for a future beta

*ActiveX is disabled: Flash plugins and embedded video streaming will not work

*Custom software keyboards will be buggy or not work

*Only English is supported for now. Some problems with other languages (and input methods) can be expected

*Installation on memory cards may cause problems

*Text wraps in overview mode

*We have got reports from some users that this build will disable the phone's sounds/notifications

man u cats should make a list of must have programs

For me its:
Resco Explorer
DayNotez
CashOrganizer
Resco PhotoViewer
Spb Backup
Card Export
CorePlayer
Lexisgoo
Tweaks2k2
SKTools
Opera
PocketPlayer or Pocket Music
WOW HD
WMWifiRouter
Phatpad
Spb Diary or SBSH PocketBreeze
MyList
Spb Wallet
Flexmail (but im trying out Profimail, it seems better and you can do batch attachments instead of having to select each file one by one like in Flexmail.)
Softmaker
Wisbar Advanced and Wisbar Advanced Desktop
Tomeraider
Tube 2

I could have sworn i did this before, but dont feel like looking for it.

here are known issues in the 1st beta.

these problems are with the official beta which is the 1st link i dropped. the second link is a modded version and taker care of all those issues excepts for the onscreen keyboard..but its not really that bad

thaaaaaaaaaank you - saw that on ppcgeeks but wasnt sure if that was worthwhile

predictive typing sucks ass if you arent writing the same shit over and over and im on a new phone and I spend more time trying to undo the predictions than it would have taken to straight type but I dont know how to change the predictive keyboard to something else when using the messaging app

wrong...look at the picture...see that t9/abc button...you do not lose it permanently you just start from scratch

is there a way to turn it off with a keyboard? i hate it personally

another good free keyboard alternative is the pocketcm keyboard:

[FLASH]http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/7t0Zhys5tWE[/FLASH]

get it here:

http://www.pocketcm.com/keyboard2.php

and unlike the iphone onscreen keyboard(for those that have the touch) there is a landscape mode

:) youre the man

are you guys runnin 6.1?
What are the ramifications with my phone company if I run 6.1?
I really want that gps enabled. Cliterminator has been tellin me good things about it increasing performance etc

My short list of necessary apps for a HTC Touch

Total Commander
Resco
Opera Mobile
Weather Dll & XML mod
Mobile Safety Suite - man.......dialing people u dont want to talk to by accident sucks ass but its easy to do without the lock contact feature in this

i have the tilt but i hooked up my girl's touch....the keyboard i gave her is the spb fullscreen keyboard. it makes the entire screen a landscape keyboard with a box at the top to see what you type. large keys, easy to type. just google it.

wrong...look at the picture...see that t9/abc button...you do not lose it permanently you just start from scratch

nah buddy you wrong, I installed that keyboard about 3 months ago, and it worked good while using it as the onscreen keyboard. But if you decide to use the slide out keyboard on your device ( like the tmo wing or spring mogul ) you will not be able to use predictive text or writing. The T9 feature works while using the onscreen diamond keyboard only not the slide out keyboard if your device has one. If yo udecide to uninstall the keyboard then you wont have the predictive typing either, its gone forever until you reflash your phone or restore from a backup prior to installing the diamond keyboard.

HELP HELP HELP

they did not install thew screen right. Most likely you will need to take it apart and reinstall. It's probably a loose ribbon cable ...meaning you will need to reseat all of the push in connectors for all the ribbon cables:
