I see engineers, teachers, entrepreneurs, all kinds of shit. I respond to who responds to me. If a thread is about something like how many times can you cum in one night, I don't feel the need to be overtly philosophical about that, and I am as interested in the sexual conversations as I am anything else. But if we are talking about the influence of hip hop on American culture, and the music industry's influence on hip hip, and then a capitalistic framework's influence on art- well them I'm sorry, all the fucking gloves come off. While you may take a knee jerk approach to such an involved topic, it is actually rather involved and I choose to try to approach it analytically.

I would make a comment about casting pearls before swine, but it ain't even about that. They just don't get it, that's all, and in my line of work I encounter this atittude in our community everyday and it's okay. Folks have a right to be ignorant if they want to.

I really don't know why they keep commenting about my posts, I actaully kind of dig the attention. If you gave them a much better historical perspecitive on the anti-intellectualism in the black community than I ever could, I swear they would probably call for YOUR head. But it's okay.
