T-mobile sent notice out to its customers that it is raising its text messaging rates in august. Each text message sent and recieved will now cost .20 cents. You have 14 days to call t-mobile and cancel your contract and they wont charge you.

shit I might as well, TMobile has the worst phone selection out of all of the major carriers. I can't front on the coverage and customer service, but goddamn they need to get with the times, Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T are killin them in phones. I'm tired of having to spend money out my ass on unlocked phones to get a nice smartphone.

I agree...i have unlimited text messages....i don't it....i think it's 20. cents for after you go over your text messages. so that's why you should get unlimited text messages.

the only 14 days you have to cancel with tmobile is when you 1st sign up with them.. and its called buyers remorse.

the thing with the raised text messages is for people who text casually
and not regularly.. ie. not on a texting plan..

also.. tmobile is releasing an entirely new line of phones.. a few are already out... but the entire smartphone line is gonna be sick..

don't ask how i know. i'm just passing only the info

If you move and the coverage is shitty in your area, can you cancel without the ETF? I have Sprint but recently moved and I'm only getting one or two bars and bad reception.

tmobile dropping new hot phones in august and nov...
i got free unlimited texts so i have no interest in cancelling.

I have an extra line that I been paying for, just using the minutes when I go over mine, so I called to cancel that line. They have provisions in place like you had to have paid an overage on texts or have no text plan. She wouldn't cancel it. So I called back, cancelled my text plan, and then on Wednesday, I will call back to cancel the line.

wrong. verizon has the worst line of phones.
verizon gets shit weeks even months after they come out with other carriers. i know cause i had verizon for close to 10 years till i left them months ago.

verizon was doing good when motorola was the only company that had hot phones. cause verizon would get them. but once motorola wasn't the only company pushing out hot phones, it went downhill.

t-mobile is the shit where i am right now. i wouldnt think about cancellling

good lookn, when and what are the new phones??????? i got a few months left on my contract but i been contemplating leavn because of the crappy phones and the small selection. after years at metro pcs i decided to join tmobile last year. I was impressed by the phone choices--blackberry's, sidekicks, dash, wing, etc....got the dash then i got the wing, this phone is so frustrating at times i'm ready for an upgrade but the only thing better right now is that 1 blackberry, i've been waiting on something new for months. i want it soon as it comes out--smart phone, touchscreen, camera mandatory. any links to their new smart phones, release dates or anything??? also it will be 3g right? their slow internet service really bugs me. other than that i don't have any problems with tmobile. my bill is the same every month, they've never tried to get over on me--fkn with my minutes or anything. tmobile is cool for me. especially when i hear all the hell people be goin threw with sprint fkn them over.

I have unlimited texts so doesn't affect me besides I use my N95 t-mobile doesn't matter to me what selection THEY have.

bruh, the first couple of lines of your post just described TMobile, and forget getting phones a few months after they come out on other carriers, TMobile doesn't get them shits at all. The only phone I can recalling that TMobile is the first to come out with is the Pearl, and if you're going with a Blackberry, cats are gonna want full keypads, not the keypad the Pearl comes with. TMobile gets their HTC version phone way after everybody else, and the Wing been out over a year now with no replacement and the shit isn't even as strong as the HTC offerings on other carriers. Just go to TMobile's site and look at the lack of multimedia phones in their selection. You talk about Verizon, but Verizon kills them in that regard. I've already said I can't complain about the service and the plans, but it would be nice to see an upgrade in phones. Maybe when they upgrade to 3G that will happen, but during the time waiting for that I will probably upgrade my unlocked Nokia e61i to the e71, so I won't even be in the market for a phone at that point.

I have three lines I just canceled one of them. The other one, I had suspended, but I got them to turn it back on. They said I don't qualify to cancel on that line because I hadn't sent any text messages, but I'll text a few messages, then call back to cancel. The 3rd line I'm on month-to-month, so I was gonna take it over to Metro...and I still might...but I'm still thinking about it.

Here's what I had...

3 lines w/ T-Mobile (was paying $85/mo before I added the third line, so I have no clue what the new bill would have been)
1 Grandcentral line (it's through Google...and it's free)
1 home phone line ($14.57/mo through BellSouth, lifeline credit)
1 FreeDigits Number (free as well)

This is what I'm going to:

1 line w/ T-Mobile (or Metro) - $40-50/mo)
1 magicjack line ($40/1st year, $20/yr thereafter)
Keeping the Grandcentral #
Keeping the FreeDigits number

No more home phone through BellSouth and no more multiple lines through T-Mobile. Phone bills should be right @ $50/mo, so yearly total will be ~$620. If I could get 3 more people to go in with me on a MetroPCS family plan ($100/mo for 4 lines), then I'd save $25/mo, or $300/yr. I know peeps hate giving up their lines, but economics is speaking to a brotha, and I'm tired of paying money for stuff!!

Why would you care what phones T-Mobile offers? They are a gsm network. You can use damn near any phone you want. Just toss your simcard in and you're good. Plus, I dont know any other carrier that will give me an extra free 200 - 500 minutes when I call in and tell them I'm reaching my minutes limit before the end of my billing cycle.

yeah they are in preparation of their 3g network that they are going to rollout soon.

the only problem tmobile has is its crappy data network, they need to hurry up and switch over. other than that, any gsm phone will work with them as long as they're unlocked. now if they would just drop that diamond pro my day would be made...............
