:::I need some Advice family....I want to buy this car....Thoughts?:::

The cars u just posted, u could easily get
them for a cheaper price in Texas..

wish i was in TEXAS then...cuz these North East prices are wild....

i like that '89 Legend alot tho....but thats crazy bread...

you gotdamn right thats a HUGE factor. A high milage car with proper care and maintnance will run good assuming all g oes right yea yea yada yada, still not my preference....

How bout you sell me that BMW in your avi, I got 2000'gs for you :hmm:

Old Ac's are garbage. I can't tell you how many of those shits I see smoking and all fucked up. 189,000 is a lot of miles. For 2900 you could get you a nice Police package(crown vic or Bubble Caprice) from the auction. Try to pull up the real records on the car online. I wouldn't touch a 93 Ac personally.

Not a bad looking car. That car is worth about 2 grand tops. I have to agree with the blown headgasket on these puppies. If you see white smoke coming out the exhaust that means it's a blown headgasket. The Legend is notorious for it.

so old AC's are not as good as the recent ones...i probably thought so...but will it fuck ya whip up?

yeah man everyone says that shit...it it expensive to fix...cuz most legends i see on craigslist...the owners (some) are saying you need a new HG...

i would buy that one,but not for more than 2000-2500
make sure the car just hasnt been sittin there for a couple of yrs not driven and shit or you have to FLUSH all fluids and put new fluids in etc etc...

thanks man....but yeah...i won't go no more than $2500....and i'm curious about why it has so lil' miles on a car thats been out since '89....

One question for you..who..in da FUCK would rather have a fuckin BUBBLE CAPRICE over a working 93 or 94 Acura Sedan?:smh::rolleyes:

DONT FALL FOR IT.

With gas prices as high as they are and dont seem to drop.....they must be current crackheads to sell the car.

When I first looked at the pic...the very first one....the rims are a dead giva-way not to buy that car. What person do you know who takes good care of his cars would put those plastic ass hub-caps on any car.:smh:

run

Decent deal, on the 2nd legend, but don't pay no more than 2500. The miles may be low, but you have to remember the car was built in fuckin 1989, not 1999.

waaaaay 2 much mileage on it....unless you're thinking about getting a new engine and give it a new life so to speak. what i would do is find a mechanic i half-way trust, then ask what he'd charge me to roll out during his lunch hour to check out the car. it's better to drop a lil change to the mechanic and let him go over your car, then to buy it, and dump thousands of bucks into it to keep it running.

good luck.

will '89 be worst than '99....or is it just as good....

No Ack Legend was ever made in 99, I think they ended in like 95 or 96.

With the first gen Legends (86 or 87-90) you're bound to usually have problems with it, being the car is so old. Don't quote me but I think these ones were known for electrical and other replacement problems. They aren't lemons, but things break in old cars and you will have to fix them. Cars were made to be driven around a bit, not sit in the shade. Ask the person, why the car has been sitting there and if it has been moved. I personally like manuals on all my cars, so I wouldn't buy it. If it was a manual though I would buy it, but for much less.

So to answer your question not really. I was just trying to explain an example.

With second gen Legends (91-95) you may have the problem of a BHG (Blown head gaskets). These cars are notorious for them and the seller may be dumping the car off on you knowing that the BHG could happen at any time. If you are interested in that first car you posted ask him about that.

Ask him when he changed the radiator, water pump and timing belt. They say to change all of these at once so you limit your chance of BHG.

I had a few Legends back in the day, they are great cars!
They do have 1 flaw and that is the Head Gasket problem! When you test it out make sure you leave it running for at least 15 minutes after a test drive with the A/C on to see if it over heats, if it does then walk away! Also look for signs of anti freeze leaks or smell!
A Bad HG would be @ @g's to fix!!!
But for that price you could prob get one with less miles!
Go here to read what to check for and you may find a nice one here!

My nigga, I used to fuck with the A-L board back in the day. I had a 90L, then I upped it to 95 Type II Coupe. We used to have meets and shit at Andretti's Speedlab in Marietta.

If you really feeling it, (don't know if anyone said this already), take it for a "test drive" to your trusted mechanic and choose from there.

You're 24 and you likely grew up in BK. It's the only place where there's damn Legend on every block, especially around Church Ave and shyt. I understand the influence that comes from that, but seriously, forget about those old ass Legends. For 3k you can cop you something a little more updated and reliable.

Lemme know, what's the whole appeal you want out of your first whip? You planning to hook it up after purchase or are you likely going to keep it as is?

But if you're really intent of copping a legend then atleast aim for the the 91-95 Coupe, The shape is still nuts on those in this day & age. (but damn, if I remember correctly those shits needed more maintenance than the Sedans... Just try to avoid 'em, my dude).

really i'm not part of the crowd...i honestly like them....i love older cars 2...i don't know why...

i can easily get a 97 Max...or something better but i like these whips...they always was hot to me when i was growing up....

i'm just nervous about the car like will it give me hell cuz its a 89...

the 89 whip...the cat told me he barely drove it...old guy...it only has 64k miles on it...and he's in Northern Jersey...not NYC...you know our streets....:smh:.....

i'm excited...but being that its my 1st car...i'm nervous...i don't want to get fucked in the end....so i ask alot of questions...
