To support Barack or not to support Barack

What are the reasons to support or not to support Barack.

Do you support out of obligation because he is black?

Do you support because he is qualified and has a set plan?

Do you support because you want to see history made?

If you don't support why?

I think he is as qualified as the next one running. What do you think ???

QueEx

I support Obama because i agree with his stance on:
1) The War in Iraq
2) Policy to invest in renewable energy
3) Plan to reduce cost of healthcare
4) Plan to reduce college tuition
5) Foregin policy to hold talks with foes

etc...

3 and 5 are my big ones but I agree with all of these. And honestly, even if another politician had the exact same qualifications and positions, I would go for Barack because he's black. Our children need to see a qualified black man in a position such as this to counteract some of the damage done by all the negative images of us shown in the MSM.

If you're black and won't support Obama you are a fuckin' traitor.

Fuck you. People have a right to vote for who the feel benefits them most. I will not vote for anyone I believe is not beneficial to me especially when I think there is a better candidate. I am not saying McCain is better. I am saying until I see how either one will be beneficial or detrimental then I will make my final decision to vote. If Obama is the lesser of the two evils he will get my vote. If they are a tie he will get it because he is black but he will not get it strictly because he is black. As I have stated before he is changing some of his stance that he originally started out with to a more conservative and middle stance than what he started out with (particularly matters of the economy, the war, foreign policy). He has gotten some guys from Wall Street on his advisory team which are giving him some good advise which is why some of his stance are not as liberal sounding as when he started. In his recent interviews he seems to be leaving room for not entrapping himself in these absolute liberal socialist positions.

We'll see as the debates starts.

Again fuck you for calling people traitors because they may want to look at the issues.

Truth.

I think Obama is the truth. In his speech he spoke of pushing the lobbyists out of Washington or at least diminishing their influence and that took a lot of balls being that they own Washington.

If he can do that we will be a lot better off. McCain is getting slick with his politics by selecting that woman. I think he might have pissed off a lot of his base.

Anyone that has been hurt by the Neo-Con ideology need only look at Obama.

All of these plus many more

But a big part of it is because he's black. But not for the reasons you think.....

Because he's black he will have a microscope on his ass for everything he does.

Because he's black he won't be allowed to get away with shit.

Because he's black.... he will have to come through on a majority of his promises

So because he is black, he will have no choice but to do everything he can do to make this a better world.... or his ass is getting lynched!

:hmm:
But really, I believe he has integrity, and is a Man first and a politician second. I think he knows his roll in saving this country/planet is way more valuable than being a greedy politician in need of money and power. I believe him and now Biden (since I've been looking at both of their histories) are that rare species of 'honest politician'.

People are just finding ANY kind of reasoning (50/50 between ridiculous and illogical), to not support obama.

For me, this is more than being obama hopefully being the first black president; I can say for myself that I am SICK AND TIRED of the bullshit that this Bush administration has done; fucking up this country beyond description, the consistent media bias, and the "Bush Mentality" that many people have acquired in these two Bush terms..

*Bush Mentality - To question a person's integrity and patriotism (mostly blind) when standing up for oneself, and being able to see through the bullshit*

People KNOW that McCain is no good for the country; yet because it's Obama, they choose to be ignorant for NO REASON at all..

From February until now, McCain HAS NOT SAID ANYTHING about what he plans to do for the country; Forget about what he'll do for black folks, we already know the answer is NOTHING; and to me, he's way worse than Bush. The US is on dialysis right now; it will no doubt flatline if McCain is elected...

Obama has laid out his plans and it sounds good so far; Yet on the other hand, if he becomes president and doesn't do what he said he was gonna do, that's a whole different story; THEN people can talk all the shit they want (myself included); at least it'll be legitimate at that time.

But for right now, Obama is the better choice. Not McCain.

You support Obama because he apprears to be more qualified for the job. More mentally stable than McCain.
