I just had a bit of epiphany... With the death of Capt. America and the Secret Invasion arch has anyone thought that maybe Cap was a Skrull? That would be a very convenient way to bring him back.

Marvel said that they knew people would consider that but its NOT gonna happen...
I said it from the jump but somebody informed us that Marvel has said Iron Man nor Captain America are Skrulls.
But a Captain America DID get off of that Skrull ship and there is also a 1940s era Captain America running around with the Invaders.
So that still leaves the door open for his return.
But if they are saying the Capatin America that died was not a Skrull then I have no idea how they will bring him back.

I had to do a quick Wikipedia just now to update myself.
My man, how long have you been reading comics??? Cap coming back doesn't have to make any sense at all, [ Brand New Day, Jean Grey, WonderMan, Cable, etc]. They'll just pop him back in with some cock-a-manie story of how it was a Life Modal Decoy or some shit.. I wouldn't plan on seeing Cap return until the End of 2009, maybe the summer. Mark my words He will be back in time to have THREE ongoing solo books before his movie. Marvel don't mess up money. .

It seems like they painted themselves into a corner.
They showed us Cap's dead body (or what Tony said was his dead body). It reverted back to the age it would be if it was never frozen. (?) It looked a little skrully.
Then they say neither one of the prime suspects is a Skrull.
After Civil War I would have thought at least Iron Man was an imposter.
I still say Tony has been doing alot of Skrully stuff.

Co-sign on everything you said. Captain America fans, just be patient, they'll bring him back when his movie debuts. They want that money. The know that issue that brings Steve Rogers back at Captain America will sell like hot cakes. Yall have to remember, the House of Ideas...aka Marvel, is more than just a comic book company, they're more of an entertainment multi-media corporate giant akin to the record label companies. They own copyrights to franchises(or characters, whatever you wanna call them) and they pimp them mofos to any media format. Yall know they financed Iron Man, now they'll finanace their own shit from now on. All I'm saying is, if you wanna predict what goes on in comics, just think "what would make the most sense business wise long term?"

For the past 25 years. Every time a Skrull was in disguise and DIED, they would turn back into their original Skrull Appearance. That didn't happen when Cap died. If there's a chance it was some advanced Skrull, which happens to exist now, then i just got 1 thing to tell MARVEL......

Cant forget, Wolverine snuck onto the SHIELD Helicarrier to see the body himself, He took a sniff and confirmed it was CAP.
Yet at the same time, When the New Avengers went to Japan and Elektra attacked them with those Ninjas, Wolverine couldn't sense that Elektra was a Skrull.
As for Tony. I don't know because in Civil War, they showed a lot of behind the scene shit with him in his private life and he was tempted to start drinking again and shit.
Like CIVIL WAR, Marvel is gonna leave another GAP OPEN so someone in the FUTURE can Fill in the gaps... I mean we still don't know what REALLY PROMPTED the CIVIL WAR because I aint buying the "IT WAS TONY TRYING TO PROFIT OFF OF WAR" thing.
