My mouth was like  when these two said they wanted to be impregnated. They both look good.

Looks like the good movie should be interesting - check it out fam, should be done with it in a hour.

You have my sympathies. Worst (and most ridiculous) movie of his career.

(Picture Rosario Dawson and Thandie Newton/Halle Berry in the leads They were the original choices.)

I ripped this vid a couple of years ago. It was my first exposure to Dania Ramirez. Damn, she took my breath away. Movies just ok, but Dania's the bomb.

I dug it, didn't have a real point though. Personally I think Spike made it just to be freaky. There are enough birth shots in the film to let me know the nigga is absolutely mesmerized by the pussy.

I watched(and continue to watch) dat movie strictly fo dem hoes in it. Dania Ramirez will be gettin dat ass kidnapped in 2009.:hmm:

This is the WORST movie ever made by a competent, let alone quality, movie director.

When I finished watching it, as I described immediately to people who knew me, I wanted to eject it from my DVD player, throw it on the floor, take a whiz on it, and whip it off the balcony.

That movie is some BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLSHIT.

I agree it's a bad movie (up there with girl 6). But there is a diamond in the rough there, if Spike had just focused on the main story of old boy being a sperm donor. He could have made a good adult theme dramedy.

^^^^^girl six was a good movie.....she hate me was okay, and yeah the main story was more interesting than the secondary story......

Girl 6 was Malcolm X by comparison. It was so messy, and he's trying too hard to show injustice to the black man... and this time it's not fitting at all. It wasn't funny, either. The key problem, he was too busy working out demons and hangups to make a good movie.

It was like a stupid brotha on a rant about some random-ass shit he thinks is crazy, but if you pointed out why it obviously has to be that way, he'd turn on you.

***SPOILER***

On top of that, it was the most absurd and guy-oriented view of lesbians I've seen outside of pornography. Actually, pornography is probably closer. I mean, that ending was just damn ridiculous. So now he got two bitches. Yeah, that makes sense. You're right Spike. That's all they REALLY need.

I agree with you - that Diana Ramirez is looking good... I gotta say that part with when the blonde weave wearing dyke was like, 'strip bitch' - I was rolling.:lol:

one of my faves...

i'm no critic and I dont take movies seriously but i liked this one, some of the moral questions raised were bananas like

if women have sperm bank why don't men have egg banks???

if you can pay for sperm/egg then how much could celebrities fetch for their sperm/egg???

why does america punish the whistleblower?...

I can answer that one because nobody likes a tattle tale/ snitch even when they are right
another one is why is it so hard for homosexuals to have children? when it is perfectly legal?

and
Why is Kerry ass so scrumptious? didn't look like make up or some kind of piece it was just like

(in my best flavor flav voice)

wow.

Kerry Washington may as well be Max Julien in this movie, she pimped her ex-fiancee, pimped her girlfriend, and got everything she wanted in the end (she kissed dude, then looked at her like "bitch, get with it").

The whole lesbian plotline, was Spike's hook to get people to watch so he could tell the story he really wanted to, Frank Wills and the whistleblowers.

Ok - finished watching it. Mixed views on how it all ends.

NO lesbian chick is gonna accept another man bone-ing their own woman - that ending is bs.

I guess Spike wanted to talk about the different whistle-blower themes in it but got caught up with the whole lesbian thing.

Should have stuck with one or the other - he couldn't pull this one off that much but he has done it better with 'Inside Man' which started off as a bank heist but turned all political.

Yes, sir. She will if she wasn't always a lesbian. I've seen it. A lesbian that knows the pleasures of being with a man will indeed indulge and allow her partner to indulge. Not all Lesbians are Butches or Bull-Daggers

I REALLY liked this movie for a few reasons.
Spike always has more than one premise that he touches on in his movies (i.e. Sucker Free City)
Spike is not as militant as people believe and make him out to be.
I know this from listening to his interviews and watching the directors commentary, even on "She Hate Me".
Spike started this story about a successful black man that is the only black executive at this company and also the youngest (i.e. = A THREAT TO CORPORATE AMERICA!). Him being a threat is evidenced by him becoming the scapegoat. Now, I know what some people are thinking, "why does it always have to be about race with spike lee?" But its not just about race, I think its more about character, this is the reason that the Scientist was cast as a foreigner and committed suicide at the start of the movie. In order to eliminate that kind of label. Notice how the scientist and the lead character were fond of each other in this corporate environment where personal relationships tend to have ulterior motives. The scientist told him that he should marry and have many children, saying to me that the scientist's core values were that family is first, as opposed to the capitalist values of corporate america that money is first. This coupled with the fact that the (potentially harmful) drug that he(scientist) helped make was about to be rushed out to consumers weighed so heavily on his conscience that it led him to take his own life.
Even after being made out to be a scapegoat, he stood strong and pushed on. Looking for another gig. When he didn't find another gig, and he was hurting for money, opportunity presented itself in the form of "she hate me" and her new g/f wanting him to impregnate them. Oh, the evil that men do.... I love this part.
But anyway, the basic premise that I got from this movie is that "WE ARE THE SUM OF OUR DECISIONS", and our actions don't always define us.

spike should have just stuck with the ONE storyline the whistleblower plot or the lesbian/babies moral decision plot...

the idea that lesbians wouldn't have a problem fucking old boy was laughable at BEST..

spikes done better..

this one of my fav movies... one of the reasons why i drool over kerry washington. and it showed a diff outlook on the rolls in lesbian relationships, they're not always femme and butch, they can be femme and femme or "lipstick" lesbians. I like the part when they say "we're not lesbians, we're business women" LOL

there is always a dominate and submissive in a relationship.

and rule 1 of being a lesbian is you don't take dick...

the idea that all of those chicks HAD to be lesbians was ridiculous

Yeah, you right about the dominate and submissive roles, but that ain't what the brother was saying.
He's saying that despite their role and sexual preference, they can still be 'lipstick lesbians'. I've seen dominate lesbians that I didn't know was lesbians, and that I wanted to FUCK! If you saw 'em out somewhere you would think they were just homegirls.

yea i liked it. i really don't give a fuck if he got off topic. it woulda been kinda boring if he stuck to one. i can't imagine this movie any differently than it is. it was funny and informative.

i remember when i 1st saw it, i was like wow......

i REALLY LIKE IT.

Loved it. Yes, there are some things I would change. But...what do you expect, it's a Spike Lee joint. Which means either you love it or hate it, and you know it's gonna be off the wall and full of sex.

Probably would have made a better XXX flick than a hollywood film.

If anything, this film taught me that if you take Viagra and a Red Bull you can go BEAST MODE on a bitch.

ture, on the subject
