Dude in the video knew the fucking risks. He was just shit out of luck. If your driving in a convoy in Iraq, and your vehicle, which is only carrying routine supplies, stalls in a kill zone, you're expendable. You may die. No one is going to stop, or come back for you. Your life will become a statistic.

But you get paid well. If you can accept the risk, then more power to you. The economy is really bad, and it could get a lot worse. Worse case scenario, i.e., a depression, I'd risk going over there if I knew that I'd come up. However, I'd definately have to be armed and trained well.

Co-sign, I talked to a friend of mine yesterday who is stationed in Baghdad and he said it was 105 degrees and it's only April, hell it's only 37 degrees right now here in Georgia.

I can't deal with 80°F temperatures, let alone 105°F. That shit just sucks the life right out of me.

Iraq,hell no....Bering sea fishing boat,hell no....

I worked in the big city as a firefighter for a long time...and that's about as far as I would push it.

i would consider it if i was doin some BangBros type shit...but then again...i might get the kind of bang that i didnt have in mind.

They are plenty of good contractor jobs that doesn'tput you in any danger. Stay away from the bodyguard ones and get a military.

I believe that they make good money. One of my secretaries' husband got an assignment. He used to manage a midas muffler shop and they were always broke. Within 6 months of him moving to Iraq, she bought a new huge Denali and she got him a harley on his first trip back home. They seem to be living larger than me now:lol::lol:

I'd work in Iraq. Some folks have more danger walking down the street in some of these so called Hoods people talk about.

I was offered a job over there when I got out of the military in September. $100K/yr, 4000sq ft villa, and a car.

But the catch was I had to sign a 3 year contract...fuck that! :smh:

I just didn't want to make that commitment at this point in my life, besides, I'm not making $100K, but I'm doing pretty well as an analyst for C-5

I've been working as a security contractor for over 2 years in Iraq. I come from a Special Ops back ground from my days in the service so this is more a way of life I'm use to. Yes, it can be dangerous and I have loss buddies due to IED's exploding near our convoys. You grieve and drive on. My mindset is when it's your time it's your time. My girlfriend worries a lot and I wish I did not have to put her through this but I like what I do and I met her after working over here.

What sucks more than the possibly of losing my life is the sacrifices I make doing what I do. I work in a isolated area, meaning it is just our clients, logistics and support personnel and security. All male. I go months without seeing a female. So a site like this is good to go when I want to see a beautiful woman. I try to keep fit but the food here suck. For you former military types think K-rats on steroids. I may see fresh fruit and vegetables maybe a week and a half in a month's time. The heat anyone can get use to if you are here long enough. Oh, and I can't forget not being able to have sex other than with myself :(.

This way of life is not for everyone but I will say believe it or not it not as bad as it seems on tv but when it gets bad it is ugly. The opportunity to get a head financially are here and a lot of brothers and sisters are doing their thing. If you decide to take advantage of this opportunity I wish you well.

Fuck it I would go. I'd dress up like one of those pj wearing civilians and get that money........

Risk vs Reward

I personally wouldn't do it...

When money can buy back life I would consider. Some people posses riches that are beyond a monetary amount.....
