You know what gets me about this networks... They start out with a ton of black shows to get their networks up and running. Then they cut all of the black shows when they can compete with the other networks.
I seem to recall FOX not having a problems with Black shows before...
Martin, Living Single, New York Undercover, In Living Color.
Well what made Fox what it is today is the NFL. They weren't shit until they got that NFL contract. But yea Fox use to be the shit. Martin, Roc, South Central man there was a point all they had was positive and quality black programming.
CO-SIGN!!!!!!!!
Those shows were
really good.

- Especially ROC!!! That was my shizzle for laughs + a little *grown-folk* wisdom / message.

- NYU always gave you decent storylines, acting + HOT BEATS from up & coming music artists.
- I liked how they ended every episode @ the bar with a mini-performance.

- Martin & In-Living Color was just pure HILARIOUS.

Before they fizzled-out. But they had a GOOD RUN.
- Plus, ILC launched JIM CAREY's WHOLE CAREER. Please Believe.
But I bet ALL those
*progressive-thinking TV executives* who initially
GREEN-LIGHTED all those shows back in the early 1990's........... are prolly LONG GONE by now.
That's the REAL ISSUE, imo.
Not so much about finding a good TV pilot / idea.
Cuz without those type of Execs... until Fox proves otherwise.... I'm convinced anyone submitting scripts for a (minority-themed) TV show nowadays will probably have their
re-writes done by neo-con republicans... looking to advance a *political agenda*.

Who are not interested in quality entertainment.
Good luck.
I got a TV pilot for them. Its a middle class black family with three children, One's in M.I.T, another's a straight A student in high school and captain of the debate team and swim team and the youngest is in a gifted and talented class in the third grade. The mother's a successful doctor and the father's an intelligent engineer. No do you think Fox would want to turn my idea into a show? Hell no. Its not "marketable" for them. My show wouldn't have some corny ass catch phrase uttered in every single episode. It would just be a show about the day to day life of a successful, positive black family.
Exaaaaaactly!!!!
- But if you threw in a bunch of young, black or latino, thugs, hustlers & degenerates....
- And the dad cheated on the wife, or got locked up, or stranded them all...
- Or the kids listened to pure SOLDIERBOY 24/7, and created a new silly-ass dance every week...
- You would have a meeting by NEXT TUESDAY. Garuanteed.
I DOUBT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR THE NEXT *COSBY SHOW* OR BLACK VERSION OF *FRIENDS* OR *SEINFELD*.
