How Old was you when u MOVED OUTTA PARENTS!?

lets see moved out when I was 21 (college outta state) went back when I was 25 (after I graduated) then moved again at 28 (got married). God willing I aint going back.

here's a question

at what point do you buy a house???

seriously, at what annual salary range do you guys think its best to get out of an apartment and looks to buy a home??

the point when you have a good... secure.... job and can afford what you want...salary range?...some of the less ambitious can buy a trailer home with a $10/hr job and a little bit of saving....if they ever lose their job...just hook the mofo up and drive away into the sunset....and it will have to be into the sunset...don't bring that Jerry Springer shit here into the east......

Moved out at 18 for college.

Left home at 19. Have been independent ever since.
Got a house at 26.
Worked my way through college. Got degree at 28 (took a while with all that tricking off and partying) :)
Masters Degree at 30
Trying to build wealth and have a better future for my kid.

Never looked back after leaving home. Once you leave and taste that freedom you never want to live under the same roof with the annoying parents.

moved out @ 18...moved back in @ 25 during the construction of my first house...built a bigger house 2yrs later...now my mom practically lives with me, in my guest bdrm...my spot is a little over 5k sq ft we barely see each other

I left when I was 18. Went to the Navy and haven't looked back since. Some people state that I moved in with my girlfriend when I got out of the navy, but:

I put my name on the lease my first day home from the Navy
I paid the rent every month
I paid almost all of the bills
and when we broke up I paid for everything.

I didn't have it easy, but I did it on my own without help. Even though I struggled, almost getting evicted twice I made it.

My dad (who didn't pay child support since I was 12) let me "BORROW" $800 one time so I wouldn't get evicted. Saying that he wanted me to pay him back and that he didn't want to hear about what he didn't do for me as a kid. I hope he didn't think he was really getting that money back (not after I had to suffer with shoes with holes in them in Junior High, 3 outfits to start the first 3 months of 10th grade and countless other struggles from my youth). That was 6 years ago and he hasn't seen a peny. Shit, I haven't talked to him since then.

Aside from that I have been on my own. I worked temp agency jobs to make ends meet. I had one job that required me to be there from Noon to 8:30. I would leave home at 9:45 to get there on time, and get home at 10:30 on the bus. that was 4 hours and 15 minutes travel to get there. I was only late once in three months when my buses didn't connect.

we lost the place we were staying in when I was 16. My mother couldn't afford another place so she moved back in with her mother. It was no room for me, so it was either move to ohio with her sister or move it with my aunt. I stayed with my aunt, but didn't have to many options after high school, so I walked into a recuiters office at 17 left for bootcamp 6 months later.

all in all

16 forced to live elsewhere

Well I was 23 when I moved Out I live In Oceanside California, rent for a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom is like 900.00 a month 2 bedroom 2 bathrooms lowest rent is 1200.00 a month, Thats southern California though it's alot of competition out here too much of a rat race to be honest with you, For all you out in other states paying 500.00 a month isn't jack shit thats kiddie shit and horseplay. But down here in southern cali you need to Hustle Harder then anywhere else.
