Still on the Treo 700w, waiting for a Treo 800, or IPhone to go to verizon and get some office software
I'm surprised that none of you are talking about this bad boy right here. This was at CES earlier this year and is being touted as the true iPhone Killer. I guess we'll see. Its slated for a Summer release in the US.

The iPhone in my estimation is not that revolutionary. Yeah its cool, but that's about it IMO. The only thing that the iPhone has (as you've said) is its strength of name and other companies ability to keep its name circulating. Couple that with an ad campaign by Apple (that is nothing less than Pit Bull like) and you have the envy of every techy and Jones trying to keep up.

Xperia tight, but theres 2 things I dont like...
1 - its windows mobile based
2 - You have to use a stylus, i dont like that. I wanna be able to use just my fingers.

Apple does a better job demonstrating their feature to the public, they have media power to push their products. Some of these other phone might have better features, however, joe consumer isn't going to spend the time or risk money trying to find out.

I agree though it doesn't need to be called the "iphone killer", cause to me its two totally different phones all together. I think the Xperia, is just bringing some style to the business market to give Blackberry a run for its money. It's 3G, video conferencing, IE, etc. (perfect competition against the Blackberry's throne for the business hold).
So like all the posters said Xperia is not an iphone killer, its in another catergory all together not to be compared at all.

What people dont seem to realize is the Iphone isnt the best phone, just like the Ipod isnt the best mp3 player. People are quick to say the IPhone wasnt the first touch and blah, blah....Seriously tho, how many touch phones were on the mainstream market ESPECIALLY American market before the iphone?
And even if they were, companies were not pushing them at all. Now all of a sudden its touch this and that. The interface is really the driving factor, its the look combined with the fact Apple is known for a reliable product. Damn near 10 years later the Ipod is still the leader in the mp3 even tho its more expensive than others, and there are others that do the same/more shit. Who's to say the Iphone wont be the same?

as much s i love the iphone, its not worth going to ATT's bullshit service. So i stayed with Verizon and got the Voyager. It's not Iphone, or Iphone killer, but its one of the best phones out for Verizon
