I just got scammed for $40 dollars...:angry::angry:

It was with a company called Entertainment Holdings Inc. They told me that the do casting calls and for people who don't have any experience in acting or modeling so they can set it up for you. $150 - $300 for just people showing up as extras and that is what I wanted to do. For some reason it slipped my mind that when producers for tv shows, movies, commercial, etc... they have tons and tons of people that are already waiting. You can set appointments up by your fucking self.

I just got fired from my previous job, going through hard times and when you need money shit like that catches your eye.

I'm young, Im 23 and I have take that one straight to the chin.

What are your stories....

yep. I got caught with one of those "no credit get a computer" scams they advertise on T.V.. They got me for about $80.

One of those pyramid schemes when I was a freshman in college. You know those...."Give us $100 and get 10 people to sign up under you" kind of shits. Hell I was broke and in college and it sounded good at the time.

and when you realized you've been scammed, all you can think about is the shit you could've done with that money.

yeah, I lost a buck on a fake bus pass I bought from a mexican with 9 fingers way back when i was a young buck. but it was worth it to just to learn a little slight of hand.

The recruit was all-black too. They were on the whole fuckin church theme, keep it in the family, black man shit. Come to find out after some initial research, they were really just a bunch of leechers.

Sorry for ya mane...

Those MFs hit a friend of mine and his wife's family for a whole bunch of cash. He's always trying "get rich quick" type shit. (i.e. Amway, HopeAmerica, Excell, Friends Helping Friends, and all that type shit.) ...all scams. :smh: He's always broke as a muthafucker, and trying to get rich through some MLM scheme. :smh: Now that I think about it...I need to stop hanging around that nigga.

Yep...that's them. They came to the campus and had a meeting one night and I went. Listened to the shit and it just sounded good as hell. They had all the folks coming in talking about how much money they make a month and shit. It was all some bullshit.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

LMAO! good story

I bet they said "Be your own entrepreuer, work your own hours, give us money and bring as many friends as possible to join with us. The money you earn depends on you."

BULLSHIT!!!!!!!! the game was rigged from the start.

I almost got scammed. A lady and man in business suits came to the mall and started talking to people about a new business where you can make hundreds of dollars in a day.

He then showed us his Dodge Viper sitting outside in the parking lot. It turned out to be some pyramid scheme bullshit. The scammers were actually sitting down with people and training them on how to get their friends in on the business too.

The deal is that you had to pay $400 to get in and after that you'd be making tons of money. Trust me, a few people did that shit. Oh and the scheme was based on VOIP service. Making calls from your computer/laptop and stuff. Thats how I learned words are powerful. They wanted people to read books on being a leader and stuff too. like "10 things leaders do" type of shit.

When I was about 12, I got scammed on 3 card monte in Downtown LA. Lost about 70.

Then when I was 16, got scammed at a game called Razz in New Orleans. Lost about 200.

Since then, have read many books on scams and it'll never happen again.

one time i was in new york waiting for the train and a homeless guy in a wheelchair rolls up and starts tellng us how he was paralized in the war and how he couldnt get work or a place to live. i gave dude some spare change i had but one guy was like my fathers a vet and this that and the other and gave the guy like $50. a couple minutes later the guys are still talking when the paralized guy scratches his legs the other guy says i thought you couldnt feel anything from the waist down. funniest shit i ever saw the homeless guy pics up the wheelchair and takes off the other guy chased him down but all he got was the wheel chair. shit like this is why i love new york not too many dull moments

Back at uni, my m8 came to lectures real happy, talking about how he just got a top of the range laptop for £100. He opened the bag to show us and it was filled with bricks. What had happened is the crooks stopped him by the side of the road in their ride showed him a real laptop and swapped it for the fake one when he paid.

You got scammed for more than $40. But on to my story...

When I was a youngsta. Green and fresh off the boat from down south, I fell victim to 3 card monty/shell game on a ride home after work (city bus) in DC. I just knew I could guess the right card. That's before I realized some of the players were in on the hustle. Lost $50, but wasn't too phased by it; more or less just pissed that I got, Got. I was single and making great money even back then.

never.

know why?

most people that get caught up in scams were being greedy to begin with. that's why they got scammed.

for years i've had nigerians hit me with checks, and all sorts of bullshit that i could've fallen for it i was hard up for the money, but nope never happens.
