But I know that there are no hard and fast rules to this. My best friend had sex with her now husband the night of the first day they met, and they have one of the best relationships/marriages I've ever seen.
People just need to use common sense and do what they feel is in their best interest.

Damn first night...wow I thought my two weeks was quick
I met my wife online, believe it or not. We spoke for many years elevating from PM's on a message board, to Yahoo Messenger and then to phone. After having spoken for about four years, I decided to meet her.
I traveled from the UK to the US (Chicago) and she met me at the airport. The second we entered her apartment, we entered the bedroom. The rest was history.
I'll be happily married for two years in April.

i met my wife online also. I was in Iraq she was in england.
Dated for 2 years. They have a great relationship, not perfect, but clearly one where they respect each other. They've been married for 6 years now.
