thanks Link!! i had the Kick Ass #1 in my hand today at the comic book store...but couldn't bring myself to buy it after flippin' thru the pages and checkin' out the art....i'll check it out the storyline on here to see if it's purchase worthy :D

Kick-ass was worth it to me. It's exactly what I would expect to happen to anybody that would try this hero shit for real.

i don't care what y'all think if you ''get'' this book this is some gangsta and priceless shit right here Batman and Robin painting the entire room yellow to ''talk'' to Hal Jordan and even offering him some lemonade :lol: i don't know if Miller just wants to shit on Batman but i think this is the way you really turn out after seeing your parents get gunned down. There are more probabilities you would turn into a psychopath (a Punisher) rather than a wisecrackin fun loving hero (Spiderman)

well, he's making a mockery of ALL of them.

GL got KILLED by Robin. and i mean Robin stole his ring and then KILLED him.

how stupid are you when a kid steals you only source of power and then MURDERS you in a fair fight???

Maybe I missed, it, but I don't see where Robin got close enough to GL to steal the ring. He had it on when he punched Batman. And Robin stayed on the chair the whole time. Maybe he got it before he got to the yellow room, huge plot hole tho.

Another thing: can't GL talk to his ring? If his ring was slipped off his finger, wouldn't he get a warning message?

concerning that:

i guess this story occurs before the GLs learned to control yellow. i also figure this discounts GL being an ex-soldier. he also set a lot of safeguards and controls toamke sure nobody could just take his ring, as the ring acts as a mini computer. i think Frank Miller is taking too much artistic license with these characters.
