this nigga is stupid.

Big news out of LSU today. WWL's Deke Bellavia reports that Quarterback Ryan Perrilloux has been indefinitely suspended from the football team.

"As of right now, Ryan Perrilloux is not on the LSU Football Team. Whether or not he will be let back on the team or not... we hope to find that out in the next few days," reported Bellavia.

Perrilloux allegedly missed classes and team activities in the past few weeks.

"It is yet to be determined if he will be kicked off the team for good," Bellavia reports. He says Perrilloux in not expected to participate in at least the first few weeks of spring practices next month, and may not be back at all.

Coach Les Miles was expected to have a news conference today concerning other matters, but has canceled the event.

LSU released the following to the media Monday afternoon hours after WWL's initial reports on the matter:

LSU SPORTS INFORMATION

For Immediate Release February 18, 2008

LSU'S PERRILLOUX INDEFINTELY SUSPENDED FROM TEAM

BATON ROUGE - LSU coach Les Miles announced that quarterback Ryan Perrilloux has been indefinitely suspended from the football team.

"Ryan has been suspended indefinitely due to his failure to follow team rules," Miles said.

Miles said Perrilloux's status for spring practice is uncertain at this time and that he would not comment any further on the situation.

LSU starts spring practice on Friday, Feb. 29.

His father recently passed and he has been really struggling with that. He removed himself completely from his teammates and their activities and they are really just giving him time to get the help he needs. It wasn't a suspension for bad conduct, but they are giving him time to get his head right before he comes back. He will be back, dude just lost his pops and he is not taking it well so I say give him some space.

Man its cool, not too many people knew about it, but did you see the rundown on Sportscenter about it? They pretty much said he is a criminal who doesn't deserve to play the game. I swear the media are some bitches.

Naw I'll probably hear about it tomorrow tho.

Word in the college football arena is its drugs.

DAD DIES = PTSD or post traumatic stress disorder = you need time to get your shit together. If it was drugs the shit would be out that it was drugs. Get your facts together man.

I understand that, but what do you think his dad would say to him right now?

I understand that, but what do you think his dad would say to him right now?

I mean his dad would probably say something like keep your head up, but who knows how anyone will react to losing a parent or loved one once it happens? I mean his death was something that happened to him that he had no control over, that he couldn't explain and he lost a father that he was extremely close to so its kind of hard to prepare for that.

Not that I'm "glad" to hear about his father, but I'm definitely relieved to learn that this isn't from typical stupidity. I hope he can get over his grief and get his head on straight.

I want this brotha to be Vince Young and not Maurice Clarrett.

Had the opportunity, but didn't capitalize. He was COMMITTED to go to Texas and take over when Vince left, but on NSD (National Signing Day), he signed with LSU. Now LSU is a GREAT institution, but I think he is one of those kids who need to get away from their familiar settings in order to succeed and I think had he went to Texas, he would have been a Heisman candidate by now...

You are a pissy lil bitch if ever there was one.:hmm:

On another note, I've probably been as hard on RP as anybody. But that shit about his father comes as news to me.

I hope homeboy can pull through this shit and not use the death of his Father as an excuse to fukk up one of the best opportunities college football has to offer--starting at QB for LSU.

What's funny is I met dude @ club dreams in december & being a texas nigga, I asked him about it.He said he think about it all the time, regrets it sometimes, but planning on balling out these next two years. Dude was nothing like you'd think. I wish dude the best

I see what u saying, and i feel for the brotha, but the article states that he has been suspended. Not relieved of team duties to mourn or some stuff like that. Seems to me that if his dad passing was the case, Lsu would have been a bit more specific. Heres the link to the ESPN article.

God, that's why I LOVE my state... Only a Texas nigga would still have football on his mind in a club FULL OF HOES!!

BTW, my old high school (Houston Madison High) beat South Oak Cliff in BBall this year!! But, I'm not gonna lie, that SOC team is the truth...

Cosign...Football is King here, from highschool, to college and the pro's. Thats all we know. Peeps come from out of state and dont understand the obsession Texans have with football.

I have no idea what this young brother is going through because of his father, but your assessment of the situation IS COMPLETELY OFF BASE! Players don't get SUSPENDED indefinteley with a possiblity of no-return as an opportunity to grieve! The school /team would just excuse the player from any team obligations, NOT A SUSPENSION! I don;t know what the kid is going through or what actions warnted his supension, but I would be willing to bet you that he had violated some pretty severe school/team or legal rules to warrant a suspension!

Simply put, grieving your father is not a vioaltion of "team rules", if it is that is an even sadder statement for for LSU.

I hope that it's his father's passing... Yet that ESPN article leads me to think otherwise. Why would the team "indefinitely suspend" and not give an "authorized leave of absence".... Something's missing and I sincerely hope this kat keeps his focus..

ALREADY, what's funny is he was getting dimes in for free & just leaving they ass to chill wit his peeps outside. That's when we met him. VY set his ass up perfectly, I couldn't be chilling at the club wit the nigga & not give him shit about it.

BTW...Im from north oak cliff, so I'm a Roosevelt nigga. My lil cousin plays db @ SOC, that hoop squad is ridiculous...good win for Madison.

Now be serious. If USC would have been allowed to have played LSU in the Rose Bowl (even with the Stanford loss), they would have whooped LSU's candy ass all over the field. And you know that! ROTFLMAO!!!!!

Now back to what I was saying... they are giving him time to get himself together. He was missing classes (which can fuck up eligibility) and team meetings. No one wants to put on a press release that someone who is valuable to a franchise or college team has mental health problems (and as an aside you do know thats why Colin Powell didn't run because his wife had a nervous breakdown and that shit would cause another setback if it was ever released during his vetting). That could seriously fuck their future up aka a bigger read flag than problems off the field. I think LSU is doing the right thing by what they did because it not only benefits the team, but it benefits Ryan in the long run. Trust me if it was anything inappropriate it would be included in the suspension report.

Btw... you better check your roses cause them shits look dead...

What I am hearing from a LSU alum that is well-connected to the football program...

He missed some classes and a team meeting or 2.
Because of his past incidents and the disturbing pattern, they are taking action to try and get him on the right path before it becomes a major problem.
The suspension will just be for the duration of spring practice, he will play next year.

(He was 99% confident the information he obtained was accurate)

You realize you just justified a team playing for the national championship after they lost to STANFORD!!!

Yeah right.

Beat a team that finished ranked higher than #15 first.

Or better yet, get by Stanford first.

You sound just like this Trojansfag nigga was sounding before USC's season went kapoof and the nigga mysteriously disappeared from BGOL without a trace.

Fukk the hoecake Trojans--LSU would've mopped the floor up with you losing-to-Stanford bitches!!:lol:

LSU--The only campus with two BCS Crystal Balls.

And you can lick 'em both!!
