but are they sooooooo sexy to the point that it is worth COSMETIC orthopedic surgery?

I have been seeing reports of women who are getting shots of padding in their foot so they can be more comfortable in heels. Also, women are also getting their toes shortened by removing a joint so they can fit into high heel shoes. Now ppl are looking towards foot size reduction...

IS IT WORTH IT?

granted i have big feet (yeah my dad wore a 15 and my mom an 11/12) and it is hard to find cute non super expensive shoes but i don't know if i am willing to do surgery just to be able to go in any store and pick out some shoes.


so let's talk about it.
 
Why do all that when you can wear sneakers to work, and then heels on the job once you arrive or out on a date?

I think wearing them for shorter periods of time would work wonders for women with feet problems.

this one woman said she liked a certain brand of shoe and the cut (point) but she felt her feet were too wide towards the end so she wanted to get the surgery!

i'm like wtf...u wear a 6/7 no need for surgery woman! what are u gonna do, buff ur foot bone down? lol but to each is own i guess.
 
This one is easy. If your feet are not bothering you then you don't need nor should you consider surgery. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

About 15 years ago women started having foot surgeries only to find out later they were being taken. Didn't really need them so I suggest a 2nd even a 3rd opinion before you make your decision.

BTW women in heals is very sexy.:yes:
 
I don't think I would have any type of cosmetic surgery. I just have to much of a fear of going under the knife, especially when it is optional.

As for shoes, I have a million pairs of stilettos pumps and boots that I hardly ever wear. On a daily basis I wear really comfortable shoes like Pumas so I really don't have much trouble with my feet.

When I do buy shoes I make sure to be quality. A lot of my friends will buy a shoe that is less expensive or because it's cute. . . but don't really think about the quality and comfort of the shoe. I think this is why some many women have trouble with their feet in the long run.

That's what I think about every time cosmetic surgery is brought up. . .

That's not the way I wanna die. I can live with my imperfections.

I can wear a wedge or low heel no problem. Regular high hells(misspelling intentional) are way too painful and torturous. I would only consider wearing them if I am going door to door in a car and will be seated for most of the time. I am a barefoot and flipflop and sneaker kid. Comfortable is sexy not pain.
 
Unfortunately, high heels were created (by a man) for a MAN's pleasure, not for the woman wearer's comfort.

I used to hate when girls I would mess with would want to walk up and down Canal St. with heels on, on Mardi Gras day, and then have me buying them flip flops from Walgreens by 11am, I love the way heels look on a chick, but damn if it's a situation like Mardi Gras day on Canal, wear some G-Nikes or something.

i have a new rule: if the shoes even feel like they MIGHT hurt my feet in the store i wont buy the shoes

as far as the surgery...i couldnt do it...its not that deep...i have other things i could use that time/energy/resources towards
 
I was actually considering the injections when I found out Beyonce got them. I can barely stand most heels because I have flat feet and spent most of my life in sneakers. Even though I thought about it, it was never that serious to me. I just have to shop around alot longer and realize what shoes are for me.... I like a wedge or a thicker heel. Fuck a stiletto. Thats just not happening. And I don't like to go above 2.5 in heel. Oh and I've been wanting to check out Cole Haan. They have a collection of heels with Nike Air technology. Oprah says they're good so I guess its worth a look see if big mama says so lol.:yes:

I have one pair from aerosoles that are stilettos and very high and they are actually kind of ok I can deal with them. This is coming from someone who really really HATES hells.
 
I can't fathom why women torture themselves like this. Yes, high heels look sexy on a woman, but that doesn't mean that you have to walk around all day in them. After all, they look the sexiest when you are on your backs.

^hmmm i might wanna check them out. heels are cute but sometimes i think i look too tall sometimes. i'm 5ft9 so yeah i could easily look 6ft in a pair of heels..haha

I actually don't have a problem wearing high heels most of the time. I'm a shoe/sneaker whore so I have a habit of going crazy with the high heels, but I've gotten it down to a science. Certain brands fit my foot better than others, so I know which brands to avoid.

New York is the cat's meow right now. I am that much closer to making my dream salary. Cali has to many crabs in the barrow, I had to get out....
 
Thats cool good luck with the career. But you know the cost of living is higher out there and you get less (mainly talking about living space.) I'm just always leery of the attitudes people out east judging from the east coast cats I've known from here. But you are right there are a lot of negative vibes out here. Unfortunately I think its an epidemic thats spreading everywhere.

umm actually that is a myth... yes its higher cost of living but at least here in new york the pay scale is on point. I am living in a 2 bdrm in bk for 1200 and it is huge!

In Cali, where you might find a place similar in price... but the job market is dumb.... how you have companies requiring you to have a BA and at least 5 years experience but only wanna pay you 32k... So you gotta hold down 2 jobs and have all your family living in your 2 bedroom just to survive.

Also, in NY no need for a car.... I mean there are those who have em... but there is no need for it.

I sacrificed good weather for a savings account....

I got beyond annoyed when I lived in Cali with fake ass "nice" people and "cooler than thouness". Loved the nature and the produce tho.

I'm tired of the attitudes down here too thats why I don't associate with too many people nowadays. I know you use to live in Northern Cali. I was thinking of moving up there but your saying their attitudes are eff'd too?

Unfortunately the nicest people live down south but there is no way in hell I'm living there again.
