No such thing as perfect in politics, there is effective and there is bad, we've had BAD for seven years, now folks are ready for effective again.

Those candidates either didn't run, or lacked the charisma to get elected, so you can't really count them. I think MOST people felt like Edwards had it over Obama AND Hillary at one point, but he has shown TWICE that he just doesn't have the skill to get his message out effectively, that's HIS fault, doesn't mean people are sheep.

The media CHOSE Hillary as our next president in 2004 (almost as soon as Bush was declared winner), now they jock Obama because he upset the apple cart. No need to be mad at bruh for it, he stepped out on faith and managed not to get mowed down by a bulldozer. I don't see why cats can't just enjoy the fact that the process is sorta working and we are actually involved in CHOOSING OUR OWN PRESIDENT instead of being mad at Obama for being competitive.

Charisma has a LOT to do with a candidate. Have you not noticed that our current Pres LACKS charisma and has made more than half the planet our enemy as a result? It's not like dude just has to learn how long the fries stay in the grease, it takes a PERSONALITY to be leader of the free world. Your argument makes no sense, no matter WHO is president, it's going to be likeability that gets he or she elected.

Bill Clinton, Kennedy, Reagan and damn near every other effective president were damn near 100% charisma, it's the ONLY reason they got much of shit done.
