Are you insane?!?!? He does not have point at all. I heard a sermon recently that spoke to this very issue. The pastor said that we as blacks are conditioned slaves. We make arguments and concoct debates on race just because we are trained to do so. He said ask yourself how many times has a white man told himself that he was not going to vote for Reagan, Kennedy, Bush, Washington et al because they were ...white. It's a F-N non issue. Free pass? The media and the Clinton campaign have tried to throw out any little piece of dirt they could find about Obama. The fact is white or black, the man has been doing right in his life and hasnt been caught up in a lot of the political bullshit and he is genuinely the best candidate. The fact that he is black makes this fact that much more compelling for us as black people. For some reason, some black people (like yourself) consider trying to find some fault in the man as rational objectivity. And these comparisons to other black "leaders" are misguided. This is the first time in American history that there has been a legitimate black candidate for president. Your comparisons to Sharpton and Jesse Jackson undermine your own argument. The beauty of this campaign is that he isn't tryin to lead black people, he is trying to lead America. The aforementioned Jackson and Sharpton were trying to push a pr-black agenda which obviously alienates a large part of the country.
