According to multiple sources, Lil Wayne (born Dwayne Carter Jr.) has had yet another run in with the law. Last night (Tuesday, January 22nd), Wayne was arrested near Yuma, Arizona on three felony counts for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotics.

Details are sketchy at this time but it seems that the tour bus Lil Wayne was on was pulled over and searched by US Border Patrol, who found narcotics on board. Border Patrol reportedly alerted the DEA and Wayne was arrested. He is currently being held in custody by the Yuma County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the Yuma Sun, Yuma County Sheriff’s spokesman Capt. Eben Bratcher said that Wayne was booked into county jail at 6am by the DEA. His arraignment was scheduled for 9am PST and more details should surface shortly.

Lil Wayne ran into a similar incident last year for felony possession of drugs in Idaho.

Rap star Lil' Wayne was in the Yuma County jail Wednesday after a vehicle search by the Border Patrol on Interstate 8 near Dateland turned up illegal drugs belonging to him, a spokesman for the Drug Enforcement Administration said.

Lil' Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr., 25, of Miami, was booked into jail on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Yuma County Sheriff's spokesman Capt. Eben Bratcher said.

"I can confirm that is Lil' Wayne," DEA spokeswoman Ramona Sanchez said.

Two unidentified members of Wayne's group were also arrested on marijuana charges following the search of the bus carrying the group about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sanchez said.

The bus had stopped at a Border Patrol checkpoint in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 8 near Dateland when a Border Patrol narcotics detection dog indicated the presence of drugs, Sanchez said.

A search of the bus turned up 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and ecstacy believed to be in Carter's possession, Sanchez said.

Yuma,AZ. those ninjas were close to Mexico...Anyone who been near the border knows the Border Patrol set up those checkpoints looking for illegals and drugs; well except those ninjas...And they stop everybody..And the DEA is invloved:smh:..I Hope Baby gets him a good lawyer, or else for the next 5 years everyone will be saying "FREE LIL WAYNE"..
