Do you ever feel like you just don't want to talk....

i go through that alot. Wat gets on my nerves tho is as soon as i come out my room from sleepin on my way to the bathroom people always wanna talk. I hardly talk on the telephone tho so its mostly msn or texting but i dont mind callin if i have something to tell u or just tryin to keep up with peeps once in a while but i dont get people who wann call u every fuckin day ...

I dislike excessive talking tho. I wish i lived near the beach or in the country its easy to get away
 
Since my profession has me talking all throughout the day, and consulting with people about children, I like to come home and not speak to anyone... I prefer to come home to a quiet house (which mine is) and to be able to chill and avoid some silly phone calls about gossip and celebrity news and frivolous things.
 
I feel like that alot. I am queen of the hermits. I in fact feel like that today. I had just decided that I am not answering the phone for the rest of the weekend unless $ are involved and there shall be zero visitors to my house. I am looking forward to my 3 1/2 days of peace and quiet and I need it badly.

I have those days when I don't feel like talking about anything to anyone, as well. Hell, people in general upset me anyway, and I can only take so much bullshit in a week before I need to cool my jets and clear my mind of the stupid shit I hear about.

But, I also have a pet peeve about talking on the telephone -be it one of those days, or when I do feel like talking to people. I just don't like talking on the phone. If you call me, get to the point and hang the fuck up! :angry:

I have a best friend (who I haven't heard from since August of '07, AND that lurks here from time to time :rolleyes: ) that would call and we'd talk for about 10-15 minutes about current events and tech talk.

Our rule of "phone conversations" was: "If there's more than 10 seconds of dead silence or rambling, it's time to hang up, dawg." Also, if one clicks over to answer the other line and they aren't back in 30 seconds, hang up.

(Damn, I didn't feel like calling dude, but now... :lol: )

Although I don't particularly like talking on the phone, I will kind of force myself to stay on for a while, especially if I'm bored or don't have anything else better to do. It's like "I could sit here in an empty house listening to/reading the news by my damn self, or I can at least humor someone with conversation

But you DEFINITELY aren't alone on this one.

I feel like this a lot and people seem to never understand. They think that because I'm quiet that I'm mad or upset with them. And the truth sometimes I just don't feel like talking at all. . . I'm always joking around with people and it's like sometimes people expect me to be this 24 hour comedian or something. I have always been a kind of quiet, mellow person even when I was child. . . Some people just don't get it.

I've been feeling like that for the past few weeks. Everyone around me has been feeling it; friends, fam, and paramours. Sometimes you have enough on your plate and you don't feel like hearing anyone else, even if it's an attempt to "cheer you up" or to give advice or to just listen. Silence really is golden.
 
i've felt like that before... i just ignore the calls and return them when i feel like talkin

I feel you on this...I can't stand it when people designate me as the "listener" or the "confider". I've been a quiet and mellow person since I was a kid too...oh, and people WON'T get it either....:smh::smh::smh:

Everyone has a time when they don't wanna talk, but my family can almost always get my ear...always there for my kids. It's rare that I won't take a friend's call. Usually I feel better after hearing from them. females I'm just kickin it with..depends.

I must admit, i have BAD mood swings, sometimes i feel like chatting on the phone or computer for hours and other times i just don't want to be bothered and I'll just say in my lil corner until that phase passes over!

I can go a couple weeks like that. Sometimes it's depression, sometimes it's just that I don't wanna open my mouth.

thank goodness for caller ID. Every saturday evening or some times on Sunday early evening I vibe with myself. Listening to music on youtube, smoking a cigar and sipping. Even if I got out later I had my time to myself.

True friends will just leave a message or hit u up later.
