Lets play GM and think about what teams needs and what they will do....Since we pretty much know the 1st 5 picks

1. Miami
2. 49ers(pats by way of trade from pervious seasons)
3. Jets
4. Falcons
5. Rams

I say that with the Big Tuna down in South Beach, he gonna get Dorsey....simply because, he likes to build Defensive teams and he can get a team to win with no name QB's( carter took dallas to playoffs, Romo did the same, and Cleo Lemon with the Jets)....

And we all know Kraft gonna go after Mcfadden...what yall think the other teams gonna do.

With the 16 pick in the 2008 NFL draft the Detroit lions select Mario Manningham WR, University of MI.

When have the Patriots ever gone with big money names in the 1st round?

Pay attention when I say this....

"In the 2008 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys via trade with the New England Patriots, select Adrian Peterson, RB from the University of Arkansas."

Jerry Jones has already stated, that "chasing McFadden, wouldn't be far off from reality as most think... "

Kraft and Jones will collaborate for McFadden trust me. Everything leads to that. McFadden has professed his love to the Cowboys franchise. Jerry Jones has strong core ties to Arkansas, is in need of a quality back, and most importantly, Kraft has his future invested in Maroney, and refuses to sign unproven cats.

With Barber, and McFadden, opening up Romo and T.O., wow....

The rich get richer. That's crazy that the Pats go 16-0 and get the number 2 pick :smh: This is like when the Celtics got the right to pick Len Bias while they were a dynasty.

is the man we need in detroit...Or a real LT to replace the garbage can that is Jeff Backus

I am going to go with a scenario I heard on www.profootballtalk.com

The Dolphins (because they already have a #1 back in Ronnie Brown that they are paying Top 4 money and they need a QB that can play) will trade their #1 to Cleveland for Derek Anderson. Being that The Browns will put the highest tender on D.A. who is a restricted free agent (a team wanting him will have to give up a #1 & a #3 or the highest, two #1 picks). The Browns will either waive the #3 because of the value of the #1 overall, or they will swap 2nd or 3rd round picks.

That said, the Browns will draft Run DMC. And go with Brady Quinn as their starter next year.

What? It could happen.

The Pats wont go after Mcfadden. They will most likely trade out of that pick for additional picks and maybe some vets. They have no need for pick that high, thats gonna demand a lot of money, when they can just plug in a vet like
Faulk or wait for Maroney develope and keep winning.

Cleveland best option is to keep D.A. for 2 more seasons. Let Brady stay in the hyperbolic chamber for a bit.

Dallas could trade those picks though. New England will need to reestablish their front seven in case 2 of the 4 decide to retire.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Negro HGH and roids are illegal in the NFL. God damn. This is why OSU is so fucking slow, they got folks looking all hulked up and shit.

The Pats need depth more than anything. I think they will trade down and stack up on talent. The Cowboys do need McFadden with Barber ready to be a fulltime starter. Julius Jones career in Dallas is over unless he resigns for less money. The Cowboys need a receiver because TO and Terry Glenn are getting long in the tooth. Crayton is strictly a 3rd down reciever and they don't have any other recievers on the roster worth a dam.

The scary thing about Gholston isn't his strength...it's his speed...and his ridiculous physique...the man is crazy athletic

I think my Fins should trade down for a mid 1st rounder and a 2nd round pick.. but with the Tuna in town now. Who knows?

Two years back on this message board If frequent it was stated that Gholston was on some type of supplements. If you see his previous pictures you won't even believe tis the same person.

I wouldn't doubt it. he clearly has the 'look' of someone that uses substances that don't get sold 'over the counter.' But I can't really knock him or any other athlete that skirts the NCAA's lenient rules, because there are plenty of other programs churning out athletes just like him. Namely U of Maryland. They are breading ground for roided/juiced up athletes. A few years back they had a Kicker that was 6-2 and a heavily muscled 240'ish...

*-Oakland picks before Kansas City on common games tiebreaker. Buffalo picks before Denver on head-to-head. Detroit picks before Chicago on head-to-head.
**-Does not count Tennessee's last game.
***-Does not count Indianapolis's last game.
Picks 20-32 are pending NFL playoff results.

Dallas received the 23 pick from the Brady Quinn Trade
and the 49ers receive the Colts pick from last year and the Colts selected Tony Ugoh

now i think the Pats are going to keep the pick although it would seem smart to trade down to someone if they come up with a good offer. Miami will end up having to keep the pick even though they would love to trade down and get multiple selections but who is a clear cut number one and who needs that player is the question-the falcons do and the rams need defense so they are good-the jets or KC could use that pick the most cause the ravens just gonna waste a selection that high. we need corner's and a LT more than anything else even a QB of which there will be another young guy to go with troy smith available in the second round

Teams don't trade 1rst round picks for All-Pro players straight up and teams don't go from a Top 5 pick to a late 1rst rounder. So why in the hell would the Pats trade with Dallas when they could just as easily trade with Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, etc. Then they could stay closer to the top of the 1rst round, stack up a couple of extra picks, and enhance their defense if they choose to with someone who could step in right away(i.e. Chris Long,Laurinitis,Ellis,Jenkins).

The Falcons will select McFadden unless Matt Ryan blows them away. They need a RB and it'll appease the fans. And now the Bears have to pray that a QB falls into their lap or possibly deal with Carolina since they also have a need at QB.

I know someone is going to clown me for this but........

Since I live in Cincinnati, I've been considering something that will change the course of the Bengals for years to come:

Trade Carson Palmer to Miami for the #1 pick and a 2nd a 3rd round pick down the line........

With the #1 pick Draft Glen Dorsey
With the #9 pick Draft Chris Long/V. Gohlston/Keith Rivers

And with the money saved on Palmer and the amount of money that they have for the 08-09 salary cap: GO AFTER ALBERT HAYNESWORTH.

Now you may be asking, why trade Carson Palmer?
#1 - A star quarterback has awesome value to a desperate team
#2 - This particular star quarterback is not mobile anymore and is basically set to become the next Drew Bledsoe
#3 - He has days where he's great, but he can be wickedly average as well.

In effect.....I think Carson Palmer is fools gold. And for quarterbacks, every GM in the league will be a fool.

So the Dolphins are going to trade the #1,32 picks in the draft to Dallas for #23,30, and something like the 90th pick. Not going to happen. Plus after everything that went down why in the world would Bill Parcells go out of his way to help the Cowboys. They could do better than than that especially considering that the #1 pick in the 2nd round is equivalent to the last pick in the 1rst with the Patriots forfeiture. Plus there is almost always a considerable dropoff between the Top 10-15 players in the draft(in a deep draft class) and the rest of the 1rst round. So money aside it would be more beneficial to hold on to the picks especially if, according to your deal, you're only getting 1 extra pick in return.

hellomdfly_logo.jpg

thats not gonna happen:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

The only part that's fantasy is Palmer being traded but I think the Bengals would be better for it. They'd get maximum value for him and then he can deteriorate under someone elses watch.

If you're going to be average with him, you can be average without him. But seriously upgrading your defense, maybe adding a young offensive lineman, and picking up a qb that can get the ball to the talent every once in a while would put the Bengals in a better position than they are currently in.

i promise u they will get rid of chad before they let carson go..then if chad go..i bet TJ will opt out..because his stock has risen.

Any team that has trouble stopping the run needs to look at this cat:

Sedrick Ellis may be the next Sapp.Top 5 pick with a good workout.Reminds me of Tommie Harris on the Bears
