hello all...
i've decided to come out of hiding for a lil bit and be a team player (well sorta) lol

anyway...
just recently moved from NY to the A (atl that is) and what a difference today makes...lol
been here a lil over a month. i don't really know much about the city...what to do...where to go...etc? also lookin for jobs has been crazy.
any :::suggestions::: will be very much appreciated.

omg...i might lose it if i stay cooped up in the house another night! i've been out to a few spots, met a few new folks but the thirst to pounce on me after the club and any other time we chill has turned me off. i mean in a city where there are way more women than men, i would think niggas would be gettin it on a reg and not be this thristy....my goodness.

ps....why are most of the fly niggas down here homo? :angry: (well the ones i've seen anyway) and why are all the other ones on this "fuckin you tonight" rampage!!! wtf is that about?

as far as goin out...since i don't really know anyone like that i don't really have folks to go with. the guys i've met are on some other shit. i'm on some shit like i just came down here...i'm tryin to enjoy it before i get all locked down...dayum....lol

Well what field are you in?
 
well i just left a firm where i was working in accounting, but i'm not tryin to limit myself to that particular field.
i have a degree in IT that i should put to use. i also have background in administration and customer service. i am by no means tryin to limit myself to those fields either. i have applied online to a lot of places. even went to a temp agency. i had been at my previous job just about 5 years, i don't remember finding a job bein this hard, but then again i have been out of that game for some time now.
*sighs*
 
well...i used to live upstate ny...not nyc!
all the damn snow for 1....i couldn't take it anymore.

plus upstate ny is hella lame, i was bored to no end...nothin to do...wanted more money in my career, more out of life...nothin was holdin me there...no kids...nothin like that, so me and my sis said enough is enough already and bounced. saved up our dough and were out...my fam is from down here anyway.

we kinda said let's go back to our roots for a while...start anew...and here we are...lol

Well if you're in I.T., it shouldn't be that hard.

Remember the pay scale is different.

And every specialty is different be it firewall, DBA, sys admin, desktop support, NOC specialist, infrastructure, project manager, etc.

Try computerjobs.com as well.

And be sure to refresh your resume every single day, hell sometimes 3 or 4 times a day so that it's at the top of the list.
