Yeah, Kelly should have stayed away from anything in the teens ... even tho she was legal at 18 ... just due to the problems he's in right now. This only makes things suspicious as a mother even if it was on the up and up.

The bigger problem as I see it is that he shouldn't have dealt with her because of the business relationship he had with her parents. The rule is typically you don't date the people you work with ... that should also include their friends and family because of the problems that could arise from any of those connections.

Find me anyone who is good friends with someone and isn't cool with the entire family nor spends a good amount of time at his house/around his kids.
