Much respect for the research and statistical evidence but you have to keep things within the context of the discussion. We're talking in terms of metropolitans with highly concentrated progressive population of young blacks. Those numbers dont concentrate on the segment of the population we are addressing.

Well obviously in a black city there will be more black gays. Just like there are more black women. More black people in positions of authority, etc. etc.
OK...let me clarify. I can definitely believe that the A is #1 in terms of percentage of punks. And while that DL shit does exists, my experience has shown me that most punks come to the A to be with other punks, not to assimilate with straight people.
Also, I have to comment on some of the spots that was mentioned here as being "nice". As I've said in earlier post, the key to Atlanta is staying "ahead of the curve". Therefore shit like Strip is played. GO TO THE OFF THE BEATEN PATH SPOTS!!!
I'll give one out - The High Museum not only has "Jazz at the High" on Fridays (which is pretty popular already), but they have deejays on Thursdays. Also research Vino Libro off Glenwood.
