I was very disapointed in Todd Shaw when I the following video clip this morning:

I'm not quite sure as to how Too Short rationalizes Chapman's racist rant. It didn't sound @ all to me like Dog Chapman was joking when he said he's not going to jeopordize everything he's worked 30 years for "because we use the word the ****** sometimes here".

He goes on to say "if Lisa was dating a ****** we'd all say fuck you." So it seems to me that Dog Chapman & Co. are too fond of ******s.

Do you think Seinfeld or any Jewish entertainer would defend an individual who used the word **** or hymie to describe Jewish people?

I just curious as to what it takes to offend Todd Shaw,if somebody burned a cross on his lawn & spray painted ****** on his house I guess he would think it was just a way of his neighbors welcoming him to the neigborhood & they didn't mean any harm.
 
Where in the video did he co-sign to Dog's statements? His views seemed fair to me??? Are we watching the same video?

I was about to come in here and remind ya'll Short use to smoke crack but he didn't even co sign dude. I do disagree with him about this not being the time to be racist. That shit is going on too much now. I actually think these crackas are using the shit as a promotional tool just like sex tapes. Any publicity even bad is good.

I don't think his show should be taken off but A&E needs to understand that in leaving it on they are co-signing all of Dog's sentiments/statements. For that reason alone I would cut it off (if I was an executive), the backlash that could come from Dog's idiotic statements is not worth damaging my brand.

This is not a well thought out statement bruh! Why would you co-sign a cracka disrespecting Black woman? Your mother, your grandmother, your sister.....your just gonna let your 400 year old enemy disrespect your woman?? I didn't read all that but I'ma say this...I don't see White people as my enemy I see people that are trying to do me harm as my enemy and that transcends skin color. We as Africans have done our damage to the Europeans too like our invasions of Spain and Italy so stop acting like the victim all the time. Chaos and Destruction is the human way because a lot of us lack self control and that's all it is. These last 400 years have been a Black/White thing but you can't just narrow it down to that. If you look at the world in whole we were just as bad as them if not worse. Like when Nubian conquered Egypt and almost wiped the whole culture out but showed mercy and left. I know you ainit think we were saints and angels before the Europeans got us back right?

You can't compare the invasions of Spain and Italy to what our people have experienced under white rule and oppression. Produce the facts on the damage that African Moors did to Spain. Produce the facts on what Hannibal did in Italy. Carthage was under attack so Hannibal took the fight to the Romans. The Moors in Spain brought Europe out of the Dark Ages. Please inform brothers on BGOL of the manner in which the Moors ruled Spain. Were the Spanish enslaved? Was there segregation and Jim Crow-like laws? You can't trivalize the Black experience here in America with these invasions. Maybe if you "read" a little more you would know these things.

Brother many of the Native American tribes did a little "dirt" too, but that does not justify the stealing of their lands and the act of genocide on their people. Being honest about relationships between our people and white society is not about thinking that we are "pure", its about knowing what the hell we are dealing with as a people.

As far as Black woman, again....its not about you going out and there and playing Superman for every Black woman in America. Its about helping to produce the ENVIRONMENT in which our woman (wives, mothers, daughters, sisters) can be nourished and grow. Our advancement as a people is tied to our woman.....we can't advance as a people without our woman. So therefore our women have to be protected at all costs.

This is why the civilized man puts a protective shield around his woman. It is for the very survival of a people that this is done. Some Black rappers and comedians may take what Imus said likely, but these are clowns and buffoons that should not be used as models of Black manhood. I may not have stressed about getting him kicked off the air, but I damn sure wouldn't co-sign his comments. Thats despicable and cowardly.

Some of us need to get out of this mindset that our culture and self-respect is a plaything and a joke. We will never get the respect that we are after with that type of mentality.

See you look at everything as Us vs Them...meaning Blacks vs. White. I look at the world as Good Vs Not Good therefore I want to build a place where all women can be nourished and grow. A place for all children to learn and grow and for people to live in peace. I want this world to be safe for everyone screw an individual race. I know I'm Black but that's just my skin color and nothing more. There's so few good people in this world that's it's ludicrous to make barriers like race when it comes to who you can ally with in order make good in the world.

I think its very clear based on some of the comments here that some people didn't listen to the tape. He says the word /\/igger not nigga. Now i don't think we should use either word and im not sure his show should have gotten canceled but if you can't see the difference in someone calling you /\/igger then you have serious issues.


The man is basically going on these shows to do damage control and its pretty much futile.

You think of your Blackness and complexion as "just a color" and "nothing more". Completely negating the thousands of years of history and culture that went into producing you and your heritage.

You say "screw an individual race"....so what are you saying screw Black people?? Its not worth the effort to address the individual needs of African descended people??....lets just join hands and sing Kumbaya??

Show me one group of people who don't look after their own self interests? You can't brother!! Whites, Hispanics, Asians....everybody looking after self but us. We as Black people have never thought along those kind of lines because it was never our culture. But with the world practicing a "selfish" culture, we owe it to our children to do what is necessary so that we can survive in this corrupt and selfish world. Part of that is us being able to do for self and provide a way of living for our people.

You want to make the world safe for all people. This is a nice thought. But to me.....with the condition that we find ourselves in as a people......underneath all of your good intentions is a form of self hatred. Thats like you letting your daughter fall into prostitution and then run around talking about you don't care about your blood ties with your daughter, you just want to protect ALL WOMEN from a life of prostitution. Meanwhile your daughter is out there strung out on drugs and being every man's plaything, but your sitting around talking about "all women"....thats crazy bruh....thats madness! No you need to first pull your own daughter out of that condition and then you can worry about everybody else.

If you love self, then you will help yourself first....you will help your community and your people first. This is the first law of nature.....self preservation. Everybody knows this but you Black man!

And let me add brother I'm not trying to put you down, so don't take it that way. I'm not attacking you...but I'am addressing your mindset. Because I believe that that kind of mindset is just as damaging to the Black community as the crack dealer on the corner. Because whereas the crack dealer may help to damage the community through drugs and addiction, the mindset of SELF-NEGATION damages our community just as much by way of NEGLECT and ABANDONMENT.
