Trent Green carted away on a stretcher... I know Dante Culpepper laughin his ass off right now

HOUSTON -- Miami Dolphins quarterback Trent Green suffered a concussion and was taken off the field on a stretcher on Sunday after trying to throw a block against Houston.

The 37-year-old Green was sidelined for more than half of last season for the Kansas City Chiefs after sustaining a concussion in the 2006 season opener.

The Dolphins had the ball at the Texans' 25-yard line when Green tried to pitch the ball to Ted Ginn Jr. The rookie fumbled, then picked the ball up and reversed field as the defense chased him.

Texans defensive tackle Travis Johnson hit Green in the head with his knee before Ginn was tackled by Anthony Weaver. After the play ended, Johnson stood over Green and taunted him, drawing a 15-yard penalty.

Green lay still for several seconds as medical staff rushed to check on him. The Dolphins gathered near midfield and kneeled to pray a few feet away.

Green was strapped to a stretcher and carted off as both teams crowded around him. He was moving his arms on the field.

Green was acquired by the Dolphins in June.

It was the second serious injury in the last two games at Reliant Stadium. Two weeks ago, Houston defensive tackle Cedric Killings was taken off the field on a stretcher after getting hit on a special teams play.

Killings broke a vertebrae in his neck and was hospitalized for five days.

Dante got his revenge last week..but I'm sure he looks with amusement at their situation.

Everything starts at the top, make fucked up personel moves...and it shows on the field, fuck em'.

Why would Daunt Culpepper revel in another QBs injury???/ Yall be taking things too personal.....

i dont know... the same reason he was pointing at his knee when he ran for touchdowns while playin the dolphins last week... maybe everyone isnt as morally sound as u..

exactly, didnt he also only have like 74 passing yards. Daunte is not the answer for the Dolphins or Raiders, so stop with the bullshit

Doesn't matter, he accounted for 5 TD's and the WIN... Shit, does it look better if he threw for 474 yards and 2 TD's and a loss?? Hell no, give me the win regardless of the stats...

I'm a Dolphin fan and Trent Green being carried away is the best thing that could have happened to the Phins this year. Maybe now, the sorry ass owner will force the coach to draft a GOT DAMN QUARTERBACK next year!

raiders didn't have to rely on Culpepper's arm to win. They ran the ball down the Dolphin's throat (299 yards if u want 2 b exact!) That has got to be the last time we see Trent Green playing football!

It's nice that he won, and a good first step for him. But accounting for just 103 yards combined passing and running (despite the 5 total TDs) is still no great shakes, obviously. Gotta use some common sense when assessing the performance. He obviously benefited considerably from the efforts of others.

The Miami Dolphins organization hasn't been the same since Saturday January 15th, 2000. Which was the day of the AFC Divisional Playoffs where they were demolished 62-7 by the Jacksonville Jaguars. :D

It was also Dan Marino's last game.

Best of luck to Green, hope it ain't nothin serious...

...now let's see what Lemon and Beck can do!

taking things too personal? you of all people need to STFU about taking things too personal.

every one of your posts resorts to name-calling esp. as the big 10 nation gets exposed for its mediocrity.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Amen my brother...

I believed they were tryin so hard not to show the defense that they are not rebuilding by signin old ass key players on defense the last 4 years. Shit they could've rebuild on offense and defense by now. Thats why they went cheap on offense and got green and a shitty pick with dude from ohio state.

I'm a die hard phines fan but i wasnt gonna get bunt with season tickets like i did last year.

The bottom line is the win...On the other hand, Trent just can't catch a break. I think he should hang it up bc no matter if he leaves the NFL healthy or broke dwn there will be games played next Sunday.

Injuries that severe (Green's neck)I don't joke with, but how they got rid of Culpepper was horrid. They deserve the futility and fortune they get . I was all smiles when the Raiders beat them :D. They didn't draft Quin so this is a management call on Green and Quin. Can't balme this on no one else.

i'm a dolphins fan also and i couldn't agree more

He missed half the season with last years concussion, so he might be out for the year now

my question to them is why did they draft ted ginn. i havent heard his name so far this season...
