Nope. As I said earlier in another Taylor-Pavlik thread, Vivian Harris got KO'd by Carlos "Human Gollum" Maussa and he attended Emanuel's camp.

It doesn't usually works out that way. Boxing history will tell a different tale. Usually the guy that KO's a guy, gets the job done quicker in the return match.

Don't get me wrong, I like both guys and I feel for JT. Both guys are good for the sport. But JT's problem has always been his footwork and he carries that left way too low. He ain't Tommy Hearns or Mayweather Jr. They can carry their lefts low because they used their shoulder for defense.

fucked up thing about JT is he's a good enough athlete to learn how to use good defense now - he just had the same trainer forever and sat on his fast hands like RJJ

now we'll see how great JT is - only the greats can comeback and win or reinvent themselves

Exactly...It is suprising to me that you would have a HOF trainer like Steward and yet you have the same problems in defense for 5 straight fights. The fight against Spinks cinched how undisciplined he was when Steward was cussing him out between rounds. Hopkins called out his weaknesses after the gift decision Talyor got. All that had to happen was for him to face a fighter with a powerful right hand and he was toast.

I'm having bad misgivings about the Mosley-Cotto fight. My heart is with Mosley (original member of the Mos-Mos Witness (Mosley fans) and MAB-Mob (Barrera fans) on HBO boxing forums), but my head is with Cotto. Mosley isn't exactly a spring chicken anymore.

Sure Mosley is not like he was from 95-01, but he is a veteran...Cotto's strength is his body shots, but he also gets tagged with jabs a lot, which plays to Mosley's advantage...

As long as Mosley doesn't get close enough for Cotto to score to the body, he should be fine.

when a fighter is on the ropes or in the corner getting hit like taylor was and not throwing any punches back the ref is gonna stop the fight. stop making excuses and just admit it...the brother lost. he had the white boy hurt and couldn't finish him.

First time being in a real war.

Hopkins is a defensive fighter and Winky ,Ouma and Spinks dont have the power.

I think Felix Sturm is a good fight for Kelly.

That was not only an incredible show by Pavlic (getting off the canvas to KO Taylor) but a for sure FOTY canadate!

One of the best fights in some time. Pavlik is legit. Even though a lot of cats will hate on him because of his color, he has legit boxing skills with power in both hands which is rare. I thought he would lose to Miranda (his last fight)but when he made Miranda backdafucup, I knew this kid had what it took to stand toe to toe with Taylor. Incidently, Taylor hasnt won a real fight in his last several fights. He really didnt beat Hopkins, he lost to Wright and his last two fights esp. against Spinx where he was garbage. He doesnt listen to his trainer Stewart. How many times must Stewart tell you to box in the middle of the ring and not on the ropes? It will be a great rematch. The same thing will happen though.

Pavlik and Winky is a good fight.

Not as exciting due to Winky not leaving his face open for crowd excitement :D
but more of a matchup.

I could see Winky outpointing Pavlik:yes:
 
That was a hell of a fight. JT shouldnt have ket him off the hook. Pavelic got lucky tonight b/c Taylor was winning. But thats how boxing goes. You cant take a second of or you'll lose just like JT did. I like JT in the rematch.
