far from the best to me.too much like Halo 2. I'm still a big rainbow 6 las vegas fan.

Its more hype now, Halo 2 was different because it was one of the first massive online multiplayer games for X-box. But with all game being online for 360 Halo 3 has too much competition now. I personally think COD 4, while it won't be as hype up as Halo 3, it will be a lot better.
Feature wise for a console shooter yes its packed full of shit to do. From 1-4 player co-op through the story (with an arcade like score system built in for replayability), to the forge to the VS multi player. Its pretty good but.
Game-play wise I don't know COD 4 is going to be a monster when its released.
Gears is a totally different beast altogether due to its intimate small numbers while playing online. Its a better game graphically on the surface. And the sheer gruesomeness of killing people on that game is almost unmatched.
I like it better then Graw On line though.

I don't think so. So far it has nothing on Call of Duty 4. In fact I'm gonna sell my copy of Halo 3

yeah i was a bit frustrated when i wanted to stay in crouch position but you have to actually hold the button down the whole time while doing it to do that..

I'm gonna have to agree with this right here. Nothing touches socom. I just popped it back in the other day and felt like 2003 all over again, I was on that bitch all day. And I got a ps3 and 360. Halo is overrated in my book, I mean if you like futuristic type shit then get halo. But if you like real life type shit, SOCOM all day. Can't wait for the new one!

My son beat the game after around 8 hours of gameplay. He was very disappointed. I played the story mode co op. It was cool. Halo is not my thing, but it does deserve the hype. It is a giant is the gaming world. The story is tight. the weapons are tight. the game is based on open combat. It is not a tactical shooter. It's not a hide and shooter. Nothing stealthy about the Halo series. Halo is kill or be killed. I like battlefield, GRAW and Call of Duty 3 for the 360. Halo 3 is better. Not by much.
As for Socom, I am not a fan. It's cool. Still, PS2 games are not tight enough to enter this discussion.

for whoever said they haven't played online yet.....man hurry up and finish the story...personally i think online is the best feature...im halfway through the story on Legendary.
Yea I haven't jumped in that multiplayer yet. Havin a blast playing through this shit on legendary as well. All you dudes that's playing it on the easy *cough* NVY SEAL SNIPER *cough*
and normal settings are missing out on some sick AI. It's just too fucking easy and you'll breeze right the fuck through it. Once I get done, multiplayer is on like popcorn. Props go out to the couple dudes like THEBLACKROCK and LOW CASH STEELE that I see already got thru their Legendary. Yall have help or did it solo I wonder?
Halo 3 is all about the ai that's what make the game so great. Other game developers are lagging behind Bungie. I have played a game yet that rival any of the ai in the Halo franchise. Halo 3 is the best game out on any console. Sony is still trying to top the first Halo.
