Everyday people get killed a lot in Chicago. 34 fuckin' high school students died due to violence in or around Chicago schools last year. Apart from time spent in New Jersey, New Orleans and Southwestern LA about 70% of my post-Katrina life has been spent in San Antonio, TX and apart from news stories in right after Katrina and sporatic stories here and there, I haven't heard shit about Evacuees in Houston, and from friends in Houston they've said for the most part it's been quiet between the two groups. Moblack is starting shit, this is a porn board, so you know there are a few people lurking around here that are under 18. It'd be kinda fucked up if a 16 year old Houston kid sees this and gets all pissed off and angry and starts some shit. Likewise if a New Orleans kid sees it too.



When I spent some time in New Orleans in the winter and spring earlier this year, I met a dude who like me got evacuated to San Antonio but had also spent time in Houston, first thing out of his mouth was San Antonio was cool "they didn't put everybody business in the street, like Houston did" and I've wondered for the longest why is that.

on that last part - its easy for people to be fearful and San Antonio doesn't have the same size black community from what I hear - maybe thats why.

I'm not minimzing it at all, I dont know Chicago, but I do know New Orleans and it's a fact that if you are living a destructive lifestyle you'll come to a destructive end. I understand there are innocent bystanders Dinneral Shavers was an innocent bystander, but most of young black men we bury in the N.O. were headed there anyways. Even one dude's mama said that she knew he didn't have long.
