The "garbage" in Houston is no better or worse than the "garbage" in N.O., I lived in Houston for 10 years and my wife's family is from N.O. (all Doctors, lawyers, executives, engineers, judges, etc., so I think they might have a problem with being called "garbage"). Anybody that has actually been to Houston and been around Houston street cats knows they are every bit as ignorant as NO, Bama, Arkansas or any other deep South thug types (the shit you're saying is like trying to imply a Brooklyn killer is somehow more "dignified" than a D.C. killer who is, in turn "classier" than a B-More killer who is more "intelligent" than a Philly killer). That's ALL I'm trying to say dog. Houston had it's rep LONG before NO was on the national map for anything but Mardi Gras and voodoo shops. Hell, before I met my wife and actually visited NO, the only fucked up "WARDS" I had ever heard of were the 3rd and 5th in Houston (and Houston street cats took GREAT pride in that bad rep going back into the late 80's). A LOT of factors had Houston on that path to where it is now YEARS ago (just like a lot of other cities).
Not to mention that a FORMER N.O. thug who is now a Houston resident ain't N.O.'s problem anymore. If cats from N.O. get shit talked about them for blaming Katrina for their ongoing problems, I don't see how cats in other cities feel they can do it. There are cities that got a HANDFUL of Katrina refugees trying to blame N.O. for their crime problems. That voodoo shit must be real because N.O. cats seem to be brainwashing cats in other cities into picking up guns and doing dumb shit.
If Katrina had never happened, all these cities would be blaming the Mexicans, i guess.

I've lived here since 1999 (from Louisiana). Man the summer leading up to Katrina there was a huge epidemic of people kidnapping kids and molesting them. There were also a lot of drug-related crimes, robberies, killings in the same SW and Greenspoint areas that are bad now.
I've been in Houston for well over 17 years and I've been in NO so much I knew the streets and neighborhoods just like I know Houstons. But on the real NO is on some other shit with there "Niggadom" I'm talking about ultra ignorance of another kind. Ghetto is ghetto, but i remember hearing a Katrina evacuee bragging about how "wonderful his new apartment was and that compared to NO the houston projects were like palaces". WTF?
Just like that other cat said. its the lack of "fathers" in the homes that is causing this problem. We have a bunch of ghetto monkey bitches raising our children in conditons worse than 3rd world countries. And guess what? They are okay with it!
What can u expect when women are okay having 3-4 kids for 3-4 different men? Theres no way you can educated and properly raise real "men and women" with values and self respect when ur mother is a ho and ur dad is MIA! People are a reflection of their enivironment, and when u'r black(born & raised) in america, u only see life thru one dimension or camera lens. When u have been conditioned that this is all there is to life(as portrayed in the video) therefore u won't be able to visualize a world that is outside of u'r circumstance or everyday living. Hence this is what u get.
This is why I'm glad I was born & raised in the formative yrs of my life in the west indies. As an adult no matter how fucked up u'r situation is, at least u know what it's like to liv eon the other side of the fence. I'm West Indian too. But raised in New York, Baytown,Tx and finally Houston. A study came out that West Indian children raised in America still out performed American black children academic wise as well as in their proffesional lives. When ur family comes to America to make it, you seem to pick up those same traits. But when ur parents are fuck ups...well u know the rest.
Apart from time spent in New Jersey, New Orleans and Southwestern LA about 70% of my post-Katrina life has been spent in San Antonio, TX and apart from news stories in right after Katrina and sporatic stories here and there, I haven't heard shit about Evacuees in Houston, and from friends in Houston they've said for the most part it's been quiet between the two groups. Moblack is starting shit, this is a porn board, so you know there are a few people lurking around here that are under 18. It'd be kinda fucked up if a 16 year old Houston kid sees this and gets all pissed off and angry and starts some shit. Likewise if a New Orleans kid sees it too.

Thats just what it is a lifestyle, if you live in New Orleans and you chose to live that life you won't last long, everyday people in New Orleans don't get killled, most of the murder victims are criminals themselves and/or drug addicts.
