That's why I had to leave the hood...this same shit goes on everywhere.It's like they are born into a bad situation and they've got to hopefully find a positive role model that can show them the right way in life. The life that they are living on that video looks very limited. Slanging in the hood, shooting somebody, going to jail. The future doesn't look bright for those guys, unless they can decide to walk the right path or find a positive role model that can influence them to walk the right path.
They'll most likely shoot that role model or try to sell him some rocks.

Bruh, it must all be relative because when I moved from D.C. to Houston, I thought the same thing about the hood cats in YOUR city. The DUMBEST negro on the streets of D.C. was looking like Stephen Hawking the first time I heard one of these Houston street cats open his gold encrusted mouth. Shit is the same everywhere, don't try and act like that shit is a strictly N.O. phenomenon. Houston thugs and N.O. thugs have more in COMMON than they do different (geography alone takes care of that). Two of which, Sight and Hearing, teach us the most about the world around us, when we are small children. We learn more from Sight and Hearing than any of the other senses combined. We also learn to use Sight and Hearing first, before we engage the other 3: Smell, Touch and Taste.
As a child, what we See and Hear gets hard-wired into our consciousness. So the more we See and Hear something, the more we engage the other senses.
If we See and Hear violence, apathy, sex, drugs, alcohol, and poverty all day every day, then it manifests into our behavior, and we become accustomed, even comfortable with violence, apathy, sex, drugs, alcohol and poverty.
Meanwhile our radio stations pump out the garbage that glorifies this behavior(violence, apathy, drugs, etc.)into our HEARING. BET and networks like it, show the videos that highlights this type of behavior (violence, apathy, drugs, etc) and we capture it in our Sight.
All day every day, that's what our kids are LISTENING to....All day every day, that's what they SEE. Our children then become hard-wired to that type of behavior. For every one voice they hear from a teacher at school, they have 100 voices telling them to "cap a nigga", "slang that rock", "hustle for that change", "we serve it at the COFFEE SHOP", etc, etc.....who voice do you think wins out?
So now, when we see videos like the one posted here, we sit back and wonder WHAT HAPPENED? But where was everybody when these guys were 8-10 years old and salvagable?
Dude in the video saw his father murdered in the street...he's actually hurting inside, but since that's a sign of weakness, he plays it off and just talks more thuggery. That's why we have to grab these kids when they are young, before they get to this point. Because there is not much you can do with an 18-25 year old who doesn't want to listen. All of they actions have been HARD-WIRED in their brain many years before.
But meanwhile, we keep buying the albums, playing the music, going to the concerts, watching the videos, of individuals who are actually worse to the Black race than the KKK has ever been. And that's real talk.

Well Ima say this. This video is old as hell. One reason I know that is cuz Foti aint been the criminal sheriff for 3 & a half years. Not excusin the fact that its some fucked up shit. I know for a fact, over here on the Westbank, some of the deputies have done shit to escalate gang wars. One cop even got his bitch ass caught up, for mercin people & leavin gang tags near the scene to start some bullshit ass beef. And we know how the cops roll in Cali. Its not at all limited to these areas. Its a nationwide epidemic. If you paid attention to New Orleans in the 90's it was the same shit. That's why I'm glad I got out of that life in the 90's. But plenty of people get different kinda wake up calls. Like I said for me it was my son.
If you read enough books, newspapers & magazines & can tie them together like you were no doubt taught how to do for journal reports in school. You can see how once the drugs & disease schemes failed to control the massive increase of the black population. They went back to slavery tactics & started cutting off the black family at the head. In any situation if you destroy the head, the body comes crashing down with it. They took fathers away from their families, to leave the majority of them to have no choice but to be on welfare, take public housing, etc. If you back a cat into a corner... first law of nature is: self-preservation. If you can't eat, you will rob & steal. If you're surroundings offer you nothing but gangsters, thugs & pimps as role models, some may escape the cycle, but for the 2 or 3 that will, there are 20 - 30 that won't.
When they started removing fathers from homes in the 60's at a rampant pace, it only escalated. They started the ball rolling & we (yes we as a people) finished the cycle for them. Why do you think they allow so much negative music to plague our airwaves. This is what they want us to listen to. They destroyed groups like BDP & Public Enemy from the inside. Don't think Scott La Rock's death was just a random act of violence. They don't want people like KRS-ONE in power, they want you to listen to Nelly because he teaches you nothing. When you learn all the words to a Nelly song, or some Soulja Boy shit, you retain less of what you came up listening to as a child.
You have to pay attention to the bigger picture. Think about it. Pac & Biggie woulda been far too powerful by now. Especially 2Pac; his roots were too deep in the Panther movement. It was a plan, his 1st album was completely positive, so he move more toward the thug imagery. Once he woulda had all of the thugs following him and woulda continued throwing knowledge at em, they woulda started following suit. He already had the women. You see where Barrack is, they couldn't let Pac reach that political point, which was obviously his destiny. He joked about being president one day. Do you think white people found it funny?
