UPDATE: Donald Trump Takes Office as the 47th US President

What has been obvious to me for some time is that between the 24% of Americans who are looking for work or make Under 26K a year and the children and the elderly most Americans need some sort of government assistance just to LIVE.

So we either are going to have to force companies to pay people a living wage or provide people more assistance in the form of free healthcare, living assistance, worker rights and consumer rights. Companies that pay people less than a living wage SHOULD be paying the bulk of this expense.

Bruh,

How is it not obvious to most Americans that this HAS to happen?

Mfkrs on red.dit are quick to say that Socialism is Communism......... no its not. The US is not strictly a capitalist country. We operate under a hybrid system that includes corporate socialism. Well times are really bad for the average American, we the lower 80% need help to keep this economy chugging along.

Walmart / Sam's, Amazon and McDonald's are the biggest offenders. Start there. If Costco can pay its employees a starting wage of $20/hr and thrive, its possible for the other's I listed to pay better.
