I would like to think that people who watch that video would be able to have a nuance discussion about it, but all most people are going to see is that dude losing his shit on her. That was a video of at least two people who lost control of themselves. I need women to know that physically, a majority of men can do that to you. I also need people to understand that you don't throw drinks at people. Man or woman, that has a high potential of taking somebody from zero to 100, much less if they already on 90.
Also, I think that many times in life, we expect people to be a certain type of person. I expect that nobody is going to throw a drink in my face. I know for a fact she didn't expect that he was the kind of person that was going to punch and kick her until she was leaking. I wonder if either of them will learn from this.

There is a potential here for her to just see herself as the victim and that means that this could happen again to her. There is a cost to being disrespectful. Agreed. I wouldn't have given her the opportunity to get close enough to hit me. There is a lot of confusion regarding gender roles in our society these days. Following the logic of equality in genders (equal pay and equal opportunities), then videos like this should not be seen as much different than a bigger stronger man beating up a weaker and smaller man. If these were 2 men, opinion would be unanimous that the smaller man received a fair consequence for his poor decision to throw his drink in the face of another man who he was unable to defend himself against. In the case of the video, we all instinctively focus on the man's actions because we know that women are inferior physically and emotionally so we overlook her act and focus on the man who is supposed to be superior physically and emotionally. We expect him to show more restraint and make a better decision than she did because he is a man. We also expect men to assist women in tasks that they struggle with because we all know we are physically superior. Our society asks us to pretend like we are equals except when it comes to consequences.

Was she wrong for throwing the drink at him, yes.
Did he have a legal right to "defend" himself, sure.

Women are not inferior physically or emotionally. Some women are. As a whole, we are stronger, but we are the dumb ones. They may not have the brute physical strength, some of them got that too, but they have cunning. A helluva a lot of that. Frankly, they run the world and they do not hold half of the political offices or are the bosses of the biggest companies. They might not be the leadership, but they sure run it. They run it at the office and at home. If you have live long enough, you will know this. So, I say that women are getting beside themselves. Back in the day, it would take a lot for a women to fight a man. The man had to be the one initiating it. Now, if a woman don't like how you look at them, you might get slapped in the face.
