We don't question the shoes, underwear, or the fact that everyone is perfectly tailored because it's not relevant to the plot. As long as it doesn't look too hokey nobody gives a shit.
By contrast, Victor's drawings are a visual record of the last 50 years. They're a part of the intro, provide foreshadowing, and are a major part of his character. It makes sense to question where he gets his materials because that could also be a part of the plot.
Unlimited soap , shoes not being worned down, and underwear that dosent get destroyed also could be big on the plot.. if you can have 40 yr old underwear on than maybe people can live forever if they don’t get killed.. what kinda sorcery is going on with no shoes are being worned down.. just because it wasn’t important plot to you dosent mean it was not important to us.. in fact if you can have 40 yr old draws on than I could perfectly understand why the paper has turned yellow… wearing the same draws for yrs would more likely deteriorate way b4 that paper yellows.. but see you didn’t understand the significance in that and the answer was right in front of your face
