The Official 2026/2027 NBA Season Thread

Kawhi going back to Toronto is the most hilarious possible way to end his career.

What is he supposed to say?? That’s his agent!! And notice what he said when he’s on floor! And that’s horrible that he hasn’t had any surgeries and still miss that much time! Even worse

Consecutive games missed- Anthony Davis
  1. 45 games — left hand injury, starting Jan. 9, 2026.
  2. 30 games — strained right calf, starting Feb. 15, 2021.
  3. 20 games — right foot injury, ending with his Jan. 25, 2023 return.
  4. 18 games — left adductor strain in 2025.
  5. 18 games — right foot injury in 2022.
  6. 17 games — sprained left MCL in late 2021 / early 2022.
  7. 14 games — left calf strain in late 2025.
  8. 8 games — left index finger injury in 2019.
  9. 7 games — lower back spasms in 2019.
  10. 5 games — a tie: abdominal strain in 2025 and bruised tailbone in 2020.
Before last year, AD only had 5 consecutive games missed streaks of over 5 games.

The way people talk about AD doesn’t make sense. He is mostly on the floor, as Rich Paul said. Facts are facts regardless of who they are coming from.

As of June 2026, Anthony Davis has missed over 350 regular-season games during his 14-season NBA career, driven by recurring injuries.Career Total:

He has missed 14 or more games in 11 of his 14 seasons.2025-26 Season: After being traded to the Washington Wizards, Davis was ruled out for the remainder of the 2025-26 season following a hand/groin injury in January 2026, playing only 20 games for Dallas before the trade.Recent History: Prior to this season, he played 76 games for the Lakers in 2023-24, but missed significant time in 2020-21 (36 games played) and 2021-22 (40 games played).

They call him street clothes for a reason…

Missing 14 games isn’t a lot.

Please refrain from posting in this trolls thread.

Because as stated before, OP is a troll and not a respected member of this board so most will refrain from posting in this thread. It'll pretty much look like what it is right now, him making posts beating off and talking to himself.

A new thread will be created, not by me but a new one.

Muthafucka complained about me posting a lot but got 26 posts on one page, the nerve of this fruitopian faggit! :roflmao:

Any post directly above this one means you have the maturity of a 12 year old trying to enforce some cool kid bullshit.

This isn’t my thread. This is the NBA 2026-27 thread and the OP isn’t going to try to make it a monument to himself like the loser who started last year’s thread did.

This dude really tagged multiple grown men and told them not to post in a thread because the OP isn’t “a respected member.” Searching for and posting years of posts about me, including a one post thread nobody even responded to. How childish. He operates like the girls circulating a burn book in Mean Girls.

It’s a wrap for Beasley’s time in the NBA, and he exited right when he was about to sign another big deal.

This looks like an overpay to me.

How is Draymond opting out of a $27 million contract and this guy gets $20 million a year?

I would be very curious to learn what the second best offer was because I wouldn’t think he had that sort of market.

You can’t pay AD more than 3x as much as Draymond and almost 4x as much as LeBron.

AD needs to leave something on the table and Steph, who missed 41 games last year, needs to show some solidarity if Draymond and LeBron are taking cuts like this.

Differing early assessments of the cap implications:

You can exceed the apron to sign your own players.

Using more than $6.1m of the exception hard caps a team at the first apron.

“I’m always willing to work with the team on whatever it is, especially at this point in my career. So my decision to opt out was for a few reasons. As you all know, I’ve always taken the approach of working with the organization. I’ve been in 1 place for 14 years. It’s more of a family to me than anything. Like you’re talking people I’ve been in relationships with over the course of the last 14 years. I view Golden State more like Michigan State, like it’s more like an alma mater to me as I’ve been somewhere for 14 years. So, when in a position to try to help better our team, to try to help better this organization, I’m always intrigued by that route. So opting out, I think for us, it leaves optionality. It gives optionality. It allows to possibly do some things. Joe Lacob, Peter Guber, the ownership group has never been one to shy away from doing things that help this team get better and if I can stand on that same side and have a hand in helping this organization be in a better position, I’m always willing to do that. So it gives everyone optionality from me opting out and we’ll figure it out from here on what’s the best course moving forward. So I feel great about it and we’ll see where it goes from here.”
