I think what we often forget is the Republican parties aversion to abortion is not religious it's economic.
Thomas Jefferson wrote about enslaved people and reproduction in his Farm Book (recorded entries). Relevant passages include:
- “A mare belonging to me foaled last spring — & is now in foal again. — In the blacks, who are to be estimated by numbers, breeding is to be encouraged.”
- “A slave who breeds well is more profitable than the best field hand.”
- “Those who are fertile, as in my negroes, are of the greatest value.”
- Profitability of Enslaved Women: Jefferson noted that a woman who could give birth every two years was more valuable than the best male laborer on the farm.
- Economic Rationalization: This viewpoint illustrates how Jefferson rationalized the institution of slavery, prioritizing economic gain over the moral implications of enslaving individuals.
- Family Stability: Jefferson also attempted to maintain family units among the enslaved, believing that stable families would enhance the value of his enslaved workforce.
So in general they want more customers and more workers. That's why they are anti-abortion. It has zero to do with moral tenants. They use that argument cause they can't say they want more workers/slaves so they use God.
I would tell my Aunt she could do both. She could be anti-abortion and also not vote Republican. Voting republican is voting pro-economic slavery. When the people telling you they are trying to protect babies are literally fucking babies (epstien and dem) you can't really trust that it's coming from God.
