Obviously, Obama was a better candidate than Harris. Every group voted in greater numbers for him than Harris. He was a better speaker, had more political experience and a more engaging personality.
Barack Obama was the
junior U.S. Senator from Illinois when he ran for president in 2008.
He was elected to the U.S. Senate in November 2004 and took office in January 2005. Because his colleague, Dick Durbin, had been in the Senate since 1997, Durbin held seniority, making Obama the "junior" senator. He announced his presidential campaign in February 2007 and was elected president in November.
- Illinois State Senate (1997–2004): Elected in 1996, Obama served for eight years. He worked on judicial, revenue, and public health committees.
- U.S. Senate (2005–2008): Elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004, he served for about three years before taking office as president
Kamala Harris' official political career consists of the following elected roles:
- San Francisco District Attorney (2004–2011): Elected in 2003, she served two terms leading the city and county's district attorney's office. [1, 2]
- California Attorney General (2011–2017): Elected in 2010 and re-elected in 2014, she served as the chief law enforcement officer for the state. [1, 2, 3]
- United States Senator (2017–2021): Elected to the U.S. Senate representing California in 2016, she served a four-year term before stepping down to assume the vice presidency
When Barack Obama launched his presidential campaign in 2007, he had roughly 11 years of official political experience.
When Kamala Harris officially launched her first presidential campaign for the 2020 Democratic nomination in January 2019, she had 15 years of official political experience. When she later ran as the top-of-ticket Democratic nominee in July 2024, she had 20 years of political experience.
now I'll concede that Barack is a speechifying mofo than Kamala but he didnt have more experience.
But lets be COMPETELY HONEST HERE....Obama's opponent was as much a help to his campaign as his own positive attributes. Obama standing next to McCain and Romney looked like he was moving a million mph compare to their stale asses.
We ALL know and saw both Hillary and Kamala drag the shit out of trump in their debates. Kamala dragged his ass so bad he refused to debate her again. And the fact that his two terms are split by democrat Biden yet Hillary and Kamala lost to him is a
HUGE hint as to why that was.
Obama got 95+ black male votes and hillary and kamala got 75-80 pct of the black male vote. and all three had SUCKASS opponents. the reality is there shouldnt have been ANY dissenting voices for kamala when the choice was trump...not about her experience, her personality, her laugh, or her blackness.
NONE of that shit shouldn't have been a factor at ALL.
and you know this.
So yeah Obama said something about it but he shouldn't have felt he had to. So no no apology is necessary considering what we have to deal with today and those dissenting black voices...are
SILENT AS HELL TODAY.
