Definitely not. It’s a team effort. Blaming Harden is easy. But he wasn’t the only one on the court when they lost that 20 point lead in the 4th. The had a coach that didn’t call timeouts during the run. Spida got missing and didn’t score during the run.
Yes, Harden is a stone on defense and unreliable in big moments in the playoffs. But he’s only part of the problem, not the sole reason.

It's funny but he doesn't strike me as a person that would publicly say, "i have to be better on defense and thats something i'm going to work on in the offseason", even if he does do that.
He did, there's a clip of him going off in the huddle, but you can only do so much. Could he have played better throughout the series? Yes, but he was the most consistent outside of Mobley. Really surprised no has been talking about Sam Merrill because he was a killer against detroit.
I think the EAST was weak this year. Outside of Boston and Toronto (yes Toronto), all the other teams were not that good.....
If the knicks played toronto, they probably would have won that series, but it would not have been a sweep IMO (assuming they had a healthy BI)
