I wonder how many people watched games on Peacock. Most folks in this thread don't have it judging by the lack of posts during those games.
Agreed because I don’t have it. I wonder if it’s any different from what NBC shows
I damn sure don't have Peacock. I don't even have an Amazon prime anymore.
I've noticed the lack of real time post in here as well. I'm working 3rd shift these days so I end up streaming the games on my phone from a website. It works for watching the games for free and without any commercials, but it sucks because I can't easily be on here talking shit at the same time.
The lack of back and forth shit talking had changed the feeling of the playoffs.
I'm still watching the games thru a website and it's honestly given me better insight into games.
The site I stream from doesn't cut away whenever they go to commercial, and seeing what goes in the arena is much better experience than having a bunch of gambling and liquor ads thrown at me.
Starting with OKC, I can see why their fans are the loudest in the league. Every time and I mean EVERY TIME the game goes to commercial, the OKC hype machine takes to the court to start gassing these people up. The dance squad will be doing a thing, while they're also doing a t-shirt toss, while they're also playing some straight propaganda. A bunch of video packets with the players interposed with shots of the city, while the narrative constantly uses word like, "we" & "us". The videos are designed to put a battery pack up these people asses and make them feel like they are apart of the team.
NY is NY. It's funny that they announced NYPD is shutting down the watch parties. The outside watch parties are where the real Knicks fans. We all know Knicks tickets are expensive and you can really tell whenever they cut to commercial. Outside of the normal t-shirt toss, the Garden LOVES to do karaoke. Being NY you would think the you be hearing some Biggie, Jay-Z, maybe Wu-Tang.... no! The Garden is playing to a crowd of old CaCs who can afford to spend thousands on tickets. Basically a lot of Journey & Bon Jovi. There was a point in game 2 when they were doing a Bon Jovi song and the camera cut to Bon Jovi. For hot a second it looked like he didn't want to sing. He had an expressive like, "y'all expect me to sing for free, you know who the fuck I am!?!?"
The San Antonio arena shows have been the best by a mile. The court design with the different color shirts in the crowd looks really good tv. Whenever they cut to commercial yesterday, the San Antonio crowd were getting a show. Twice they had a full mariachi band and some Spanish opera singer who was killing it. There were crowd shooting contest
(S.A. get your shit together. Two of those FT shooting contest ended 1-0 after like 10 shots), a dog show, & a bunch of player tributes that highlighted players just living day-2-day life in Texas.
The observant among you may have noticed that I didn't wait for a game in Cleveland to review their city.
