The Oath and the whole Inauguration ceremony is just a symbolic ceremonial act.

There isn’t anything in the Constitution about an Oath. The new President automatically takes office at 1201 EST on January 20th.

The GOP/FOX NEWS had a sissy fit during Obama’s Inauguration when Chief Justice Robets Fucked up the Oath statement throwing off Obama.

Completely agree. I'm just saying that once we get them out of power, we need to work towards that actual long game, and hold Democrats accountable in as many ways as possible.

I'm talking about primarying Democratic candidates and replacing them with other Democrats who have progressive goals that we can move forward with. We can already see that this previous move of "punishing" Democrats for not supporting our needs enough has, at least partially, led to where we are now.

Definitely support the removal of MAGA and its like-minded entities as an immediate goal, though.

If the cost of living is really too high (which is what the GOP likes to complain about when they aren't in office), then what is the actual solution? Not just saying, "I'll lower prices!" What is the actual plan for doing that? Will it temporarily cause a hardship, and is that something we could endure to come out of the other side better?

But as long as so many people just vote with their anger and their hatred over common sense, we won't be able to make any real progress.
