So basically Firefox is a better browser than Chrome? I been using Chrome on laptop & phone just because it's so integrated, I'll have to migrate and replace the app on the homescreen

Firefox is way better. I gave Chrome a try years, months, and days ago. I found it to be a resource hog. Firefox is chromium nowadays and has a vast variety off add on's. The first thing I noticed when I stopped using Chrome was my PC's cooling fan stopping spinning loud and fast. Chrome is one of the first apps I uninstall on my new Android devices. To add insult to injury I found out Google watches, records, and tracks our usage of Chrome.

Says "This is not the official Ublock Origin site" at the top of page and download came with 2 malware threats
no need to go to any site. Just go to the official Firefox or edge extension page and only download the version from Raymond Hill.

it works great with both those browsers. I believe brave makes you use the chrome extension site which broke ublock.

I actually already have it installed on Firefox, I just was using Chrome mostly, and I just bought this laptop last year.

What do you mean by "Firefox is chromium nowadays"?

try this one:

This is the correct answer. Best one out there, light on resource use.
Firefox. Opera, Edge, and Brave are all running on the same framework as Chrome.
Code:

Firefox is the only thing NOT based on Chromium outside of Safari. The last cross platform browser standing

Unlock origin is trash.

I just brought a premium AdBlocker called "adguard" on stacksocial for lifetime for 9 devices which cost $15.

I've had too many problems with ublock orgin and and I don't like doing all this coding shit.

He got too many websites with be same ublock orgin name. But the original unlock orgin is the one you have to code it.

Raymond hill isn't the official ublock orgin.

You have to code it which is the original ublock.

I can't remember why, but I thought it went Chromium somewhere around version 135. Glad to know it still uses it's own Quantum Engine. I use Pale Moon most of the time. I have a dozen browsers. 10 of them have Ublock Origin installed.

Raymond hill is the guy that created it and kept his version open source, not sure what you are saying.

on a personal note, never had any issues with the Raymond version and have used it for years on a number of pc, macs, and android devices.

What I mean is that people had to get it from here on github because it would say that raymond hill wasn't the original ublock orgin from firefox. My computer has been fucking up using ublock orgin and they don't always block ads. This is my personal experience with them.

I will give it a try... thanks for the info

The best way to get Ublock Origin for Firefox is by clicking on the three lines in the upper right corner of your Firefox browser. Then selecting "Extensions and theme". From the next screen use the search option at the top of the page for "Ublock Origin". From the results you will get Ublock Origin. That is the main way I install add ons to Firefox, Opera, Iron, and Edge.
