BREAKING: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is forcing out Army leadership in a major shakeup at the Pentagon.
According to multiple sources, CBS News says Hegseth has asked Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George to step down and take immediate retirement—and has also pushed out George’s chief of staff. George, who previously served as senior military assistant to former Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, is now being sidelined as the Trump administration moves to reshape the military’s top ranks in the middle of the Iran War.
One source made the motive clear: Hegseth wants someone in place who will carry out Trump and his vision for the Army.
