Saw both in the theatre close to opening weekend....was legit excited to see both of them..and we enjoyed "OBAA" but feel it was too long and eventually became overrated and "Sinners" was the better picture imo

One Battle has some good moments and tells a good story with competent performances - its a good movie - but I can't quote one line in the movie
Sinners is a great film... tight writing and next level performances

Nah, that was an excellent movie. That was the only one I wouldn't have been mad at if it won besides Sinners. Del Toro was phenomenal in that movie
Personally, I thought "Sinners" was better than "One Battle After Another," and believe that I could relate to "Sinners" more.
My parents are from a small Southern town in Georgia and watching "Sinners" brought back childhood memories of traveling Down South to visit my Grandparents, who lived in a town that was somewhat reminiscent of the movie's setting.
In addition, I was initially drawn to "Sinners" because it's a Horror movie,(which is probably my favorite film genre)
and I am always intrigued by the research that the writer (Ryan Coogler) does to create his story.
